seems very...boring. I don't feel like I have completed the game until full extraction is complete. But that's just me.

This is a completely retarded albeit working strategy. I allready posted this 2 days ago by the way, in my totally pro guide called ''platinum farming for pros''. I'm calling copyrights on this.

Original pro tactic guide:http://social.biowar...index/13197052' class='bbc_url' title='Lien externe' rel='nofollow external'> http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/343/index/13197052

Alsoa to anyone considering actually doing more than once to just see how it is, please throw your game station out of the window asap.

I agree, but my post was more about the platinum farming capabilities.

I can't see them nerfing it *just* because of the plat farming uses. Any such changes would make the character totally useless, thus my comment. Again, the whole point of the demolisher is to camp, so changing that breaks the character

The only time they have changed a character to reduce the ease of farming is by reducing the target count on the salarian decoy, and that didn't change the fundamental playability of the class. prior to that two relatively unexperienced people could hand FBWGG *alone* because the decoy was so effective (I know, I tried it) - that's not the case here.

Switching back to the general topic...

Truth is, there is absolutely nothing you can do to this game to eliminate farming, and frankly, I don't see why people get so worked up about it. So people can chose to boringly grind instead of playing seriously all the time - so what? Those are distinctly different personalities and both sets of people should be able to play as long as the game mechanic allows it. As someone else said there are also people that enjoy the strategy of setting up different easy methods to beat maps - that's just another personality type. You don't have to play together, and you may not want to. If you are having trouble getting into a match that isn't farming, host, or start building up a list of like-minded people to play with as you meet in gold and platinum matches.

Think about it this way - if the game didn't cater to all types, as well as the (many) people who grind/farm to buy gear for a while (often found weeknights) and then switch to playing gold/plat some more for a challenge (often found on the weekends when they are off school/work and in a better mood to play) - there would be a whole lot less people playing this game at this point out of frustration with the stupid pack system, and you'd have a harder time getting a match at all (I have at least two friends who definitely would have just given up long ago if it weren't for FBWGG, and if they were gone I wouldn't be playing either).

Ohhh, and what are you going to do? Another cheap enemy behavior? No-clip Prime projectiles? Instagib banshee look at you? +1000 Armor and shields to Atlas?

Why oh why are you giving them these kind of ideas :P

It's more a thing of "I haven't tried the Shadow or Slayer much yet."  I'm away for the week, maybe I'll try it when I get back home... if I can get over my loathing for the very idea of the "play an infiltrator/vanguard, camp behind walls and spam sword beams instead of using the concept of a teleporting swordsman in a vaguely engaging way."

Anyways, it'd probably work.  I just haven't bothered to try it.

So, I've tried farming Platinum on a few other maps, and it's definitely possible. The N7 Demolisher makes it easy to camp pretty much anywhere now. For example, I just tested out a strategy on Condor which made farming Platinum easy on a map which was previously rather notorious for encouraging you to move around.

And on Gold, the N7 Demolisher can camp/farm solo pretty easily in these same places.

I've got a few more vids if anyone's interested, including farming Platinum with an Asari Justicar PoV, and using the Acolyte optimally for Platinum.

I've found slayer+ex-cerb+justicar+fury to be highly effective, generally running pirhannas and/or scorpions for when they are in cooldown. There's also demolisher+destroyer+GI+destroyer/GI for the guns approach. I tend to prefer cerberus for the first setup and geth for the second. Usually clears about 20 +/- 1 minute depending on player skill and credit waves.

If you're going to focus on biotics, consider the possibility of an Acolyte to nuke shields.  You can charge it up while using powers and you can carry another weapon too because it weighs the same as a Predator.
