i find that the 12th man is funnier than most stand up comedians
for those that dont know the 12th man is a comedian who has been "taking the mickey" out of cricket commentators like Ritchie benaud, tony grieg, bill Lawry... the list goes on.

now it got me thinking does any other countrys have a simular person/people who take the mickey out of sports commentators??

taking the mickey out of people is where you constantly tease, impersonate and just generally annoy the person in question

We have a pretty good comedian who always does a bit for the Sunday pre-game football shows in America. His name is Frank Caliendo. He's an impressionist comedian and can do impressions of the commentators, famous football coaches and other celebrities. He's pretty good. His best impression is of John Madden, famous football coach and likely the best American football commentator ever.

yeah i was sort of asking if there was someone who takes the mickey out of them but isnt really a standup comedian.. some one who releases a series of cds where the sole purpose is to take the mickey??

Hmm, your description of tease, impersonate, and annoy sports commentators seems to fit Frank perfectly. I guess I just don't know what you want.

yes hes funny. does he actually call a fake game as a commentator?? or does he just like impersonating maddens infuriating voice??

No, I don't think he's covered a full game. He just does enough for 5 minutes of poking fun. He's gotten some of the commentators pretty pissed in the past like Terry Bradshaw.
