Dear Bioware and anyone else reading this,

I have seen around  forums and I think a new store add-onn should arrive. I have a couple of ideas, instead of just changing the store, add on to it. I recomend being able to use something like the Normandy's upgrading system.

Players would be able to trade in credits for new levels on weapons, weapon mods, charcter appearances and gear.
For example say you already have a Cerberus Harrier level 1, you would be able to trade in 3,000,000 credits to upgrade it 1 level, and the high price is obviously because of the guarenteed upgrade on an ultra rare weapon. A certain rare weapons (non-add-on) upgraded from level 1 would only cost 2,000,000 credits and so on. Each increasing level (for weapons) should cost a 95,000 more each time.
EX. Harrier lvl 1-2 = 3,000,000 while lvl 2-3 = 3,095,000 credits
Gear and weapon mods should cost considerably less than the weapons to upgrade,  maybe only 25% of the price of a wepon of the same rarity.
Character appearances should cost maybe only 10,000 credits each appearance upgrade, but no increase of value according to tier.
BUT, the player would not be able to buy a new Character, Weapon, Gear or Mod outright. Only upgrades.

The gamble in the packs would remain the same you could still find weapons, character cards with XP, gear and mods.

EDIT: People reading this, please give your thoughts and comments on this new idea.

love it but EA needs the cash flow, maybe if you could unlock it with cold hard cash they might consider it :(

You would be able to pay with real money, considering your up to paying about 9 dollars for an ultra rare upgrade.

At least give players the separate option to buy specific items at a premium! Hell, charge 54,000 credits for a single item you can find in a Spectre Pack when it costs only 6,000 credits more to buy a whole pack at a much better value. Or charge 10% more for the specific item instead! This allows players to advance at their preferred pace and along the character development paths that they specifically choose. And isn't that the mantra of the Mass Effect series as a whole?

That could work, but I think it might make the game die faster once you get what you want. Therefore reducing the chance of EA...

I'd be happy with some sort of an ammo trader.

I'm a big fan of this idea. Let us choose to upgrade what we've already unlocked, but leave the unlocking to the RNG store. That said, the 3mil pricetag example is ridiculously stupid. Why people always suggest such insane prices for new packs or individual upgrade purchases is beyond me. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING is worth that many credits on its own.

There should be a way if you spend a huge mount you're guaranteed 1 thing you want ...

Naah.

Spending real money = proven lower drop rate for ultra-rares. :wizard:

Honestly I wouldnt care if it was random if all the crap wasnt lumped into the same packs.

We should have 13 packs

Weapons:
Recruit
Veteran
Specter
Premium specter

Characters:
Recruit
veteran
specter
premium specter

Weapon mods
same as above

and the jumbo consumables.

thats too much like right though.

The main entry barrier for new players that needs to be fixed is that the capacity for medi-gel, rockets, ops-survival, (less so thermal clips). Need to be common. I have a friend that just started playing, and he is a good player. Gold material, but he doesn't want to be burden in gold matches, because he basically has 2 medigel, 2 rockets, 3 ops. He is buying SPs and getting all the new weapons/characters, but is not getting any of the capacity gear. He has more rockets than I do.

I have at least 130 spare ammo packs myself! I have to switch
characters more just to unload some of the darn things than because I genuinely
want to switch it up.

I wish I could say that was an intentional design
decision, but I wouldn't expect many developers to actually and ingeniously
pull it off.

Once your consumables hit 255 they will stop dropping. My Cobras hit 255 yesterday (Thermals Clips are almost there) then bought a JEP got 5MG, 5TC, 5OP and 3MG never had two instances of gel before so they'll drop faster at that point.

I disagree. I think that the current store system is only serving to turn people off of the game. There has to be a happy medium where dedicated players can be rewarded, new players don't freak out at a Rare pool larger that the Uncommon one, and EA can make money.

Plenty of people do. For this dlc I saved 6 mill over a week of gameplay. It's not that difficult

That wouldn't work, what would drop from weapon packs once you've got all the weapons? Just UR's?

What do I want?

I want a "shake" option. Don't like the contents of the pack you buy? You have 3 chances to re-roll.

I support this idea.

Or, instead of random upgrades, we could get upgrade points, which we could spend however we like.

Maybe remove the rarity-specific packs.
The ITEM-specific packs though...
I'm drooling just thinking about how much better that would make things.

The point of the store is to be an Internet Casino, not a typical store. That's why you can't just buy what you want.

True, but the point of the 3 mil for an UR upgade is specifically because of the ignoring of  gambling, it's more efficient to upgade directly but it's faster to buy PSPs
