From reading the code of Aim, Defensive Fire, and Haste, I understand it works like a factor, in which if you apply 1.5 to it it will increase the aim speed by 50%, and 0.8 will decrease by 20%.
Hoever, in the code for Rapid Shot, the script is applying a negative number to the attribute. How exactly does that work? Am I understanding the attirbute wrong? (Haste applies 0.8 to the attribute, if it's a straight number wouldn't it increase the aim speed?)
Answers are appreciated.

I'm also quite confused with range aim speed's relation to attack speed, and to the overall rate of attack. In combat_h.nss, I found the following comments before the section the sets attack duration on bows:
// the "attack duration" for ranged weapons actually overrides
// the time spent drawing and preparing to aim
So what does aim speed do really? So very confused....
