I don't think my question is a spoiler, but I have no idea if the answer would be. Or not. ?? There are a lot of area rugs, and most of them have circles painted on them. They're not all traps. So why the circles? We sure don't do that in the real world... why is it in the game? Is there a design device of which I am unaware? Curiosity, truly.
What's with the green circles on all the rugs?

They like how it looks?
I had a rug with circles on it once.

Haha. Very funny. You know what I mean. One circle. Like paint.
I still wonder.

I don't remember any of those. Give me an example of a place where one is, please?

Feng Shui? Maybe they bring prosperity, and anti nug eating repellants?

Or maybe you gave your Mabari human meat, and the acid content has stuffed up his kidney function. I mean all that human meat and darkspawn blood can't be good for a dog!

Example. Many rooms in the ruins that lead to the werewolves den. Especially further down in the large rooms with all kinds of pressure traps. Rooms in the orphanage in the Alienege. Some rooms in the Fort Drakon, iirc. All over the game, for crying out loud.

*shrug* It's decorative. The artists thought it blended well with the existing theme.

Are you maybe talking about the Celtic Knots? Google Image it, and you'll get many examples.
If so, they are just decorative features, I don't think there's any significance.

You mean the big circular "plateaus" that are in the middle of the rooms?

I have to assume it's just decorative.
Though I don't like to stand in them, just in case there's an anvil tripped by a mechanical sensor underneath that falls on me from the ceiling. I just think I should see that coming and avoid the issue.
