The narrative of the game doesn't explain the hades cannon properly, the narrative at the end of the game is broken.

So by the power of logic and sense: It's a reaper and yes we killed it with a CAIN

Deal with it

END OF STORY!

Has a giant reactor on its back, which MUST be open for it to function as an AA gun. Yeah, it's totally identical to every other reaper ever.

Eh. The whole concept of the Hades cannon is ludicrous in the extreme.
I mean, maybe if it were an anti-dreadnought weapon. I could buy that. But they use it to shoot down shuttles. Eh?

Last I checked a Destroyer can shoot down small craft just fine by itself. But I guess big blue lasers are so much more artistic. Or something.

Probably conserving fuel. You know, when a (today's) rocket burns most of its fuel? It's during the first minutes of the start. Having the destroyers on the ground moving with their legs to shoot down shuttles is probably more eficient than chasing them through the atmosphere.

I destroyed the Geth Drednought and every geth in the area by firing the Cain once.

It wasn't a dreadnought. That was Geth Armature. You've killed tons of those in ME1 with maco and even on foot.

Yes, I did.  By hiding the Mako behind a rock cropping, firing and hoping it would hit it.  Damn Mako.  I hated that thing.  And I probably did kill them on foot but it probably took a long ass time and a lot of running.  Cain- nuked the whole area.  So, it can probably take out a Reaper cannon.

I do believe the Thanix missiles went beyond the armor though when the destroyer was all PEEWW with its lazer. Its armor plays a huge role on the surface.

And what pray tell would you do with a Cain? Shoot it in the leg? No, you'd do what you did on Rannoch: shoot it in the face with a 5 km/s "bullet". That's ~11,185 mph for you english units types. No Reaper, Destroyer or Sovereign, can dodge that.

I Hades Cannon is MORE powerful than a reaper destroyer and harder to kill, so there.

I don't think so. A Hades Cannon is just a huge, heavy cannon placed on a Destroyer's chassis. Considering the fact that Destroyer are already pretty heavy, I assume that Hades Cannon's Destroyers have pretty stressed out junctions. So you'll just need to assest a very well placed Cain shoot (which hit with the power of a small nuclear bomb) to let the whole structure collapse under its own weight.

The Hades cannon also wouldn't have the same shielding as a reaper destroyer.
