How long ago did you report this cheater? Did Bioware send you a reply yet? That's what they usually do when they start to investigate the cheater.
Yep, I got a reply for both reports. They're not allowed to discuss bannings anyway so it doesn't matter.

I don't believe in calling someone out in public, it's just a shame that sending two reports about him with photos included weren't enough.I mean, he openly admitted to abusing it and was totally flippant about it. Thankfully I realized I needed to leave matches with this person
You're already calling him out in public, you're just not posting the ID. What's the difference?

The difference is that posting the ID is against forum rules.

I'm i have to admit i get a little worried now when i join random games as i like the scorpion as my back up gun that i may trigger the glitch. I have no clue how its done and prefer not to know but can it be done by mistake?
If it does, just use your other gun. I use the Falcon, Striker, and Scorpion constantly, and still have never accidently hit this glitch.

It's one thing to ask your playerbase to be police for you because you cant fix stuff, it's another thing entirely to ask them to do it over and over and over until you take action.

So... he's either fulla of bulla or he knows something we don't know :
If her were are laywer he would know damn well there is not anything he could do to keep them from banning him if they choose to do it. We all play this game online at biowares liesure. they can shut it down at anytime , for any reason , and they can be as selective as they want to be.

That's exactly what I figured so I shrugged it off, but its just funny how defensive people get...

Maybe that's the case in the US but in good old Europe there are limits to what a company can do to its customers and excluding someone from a purchased product can be a grey area.xtorma wrote...

When an accusation of cheating is made, at the end of the day an 'authority' like the ME3 MP Ban team has an obligation to make a fair and unbiased examination of the situation. What constitutes 'fair and unbiased'?
Not your word for it, because the average player may mistake a genuine missile user who, for example, had been in MP since the early days, and has managed to get the 10 Missile cap, for someone who is glitching.
Or a malicious player who is out to grief another player, to get said player banned.
Not a screenshot, as those can be doctored. And also, can be captured either deliberately or accidentally in the wrong context.
End of the day, the ban team can't go just by your word or your pics. They have to have more ironclad evidence, something that didn't come from you.
Why can't they use those? Because when, not if, they are challenged by the banned party, they have to have that solid evidence to tell that party to f**k off. It must be proven without doubt, with undisputable evidence, that the banned had indeed violated the terms and agreements.
This is to assure all users that if they get a complaint from someone, the authority will investigate in an inbiased and fair manner. No such thing as banning based on hearsay.
So what would constitute evidence? An unbiased source. The logged messages that is sent to EA during every match.
But there is a problem. There can be thousands of matches during any one period, each sending thousands of messages. The team has to go through these, to sieve out those relevant to the reported person. Yes, there are shortcuts to help sieve these out but even after you go through that, you still have to analyse the messages to establish that the player is consistently cheating.. Because accidents do happen.
So what happens after the team proves a player is cheating? Well because the ban team is not likely to be part of the accounts admin team -- segregation of duties to prevent abuse -- they have to batch and send the info to the accounts admin team. And that's lucky if it's an Origins account, because that's bioware team to another EA department. If it's a XBL or PSN player then bioware may have to go through EA to Microsoft or Sony. And then it depends on the procedures Sony and Microsoft has, because banning those players means they cannot access their network... Which may not be what they want!
Basically, these things take time, quite a bit of it. Ends up we 'by the book' players have to be patient and bear with the cheaters. At least Bioware has demonstrated some commitment to stomp out the cheaters.
