Im wondering if theres been any official acknowledgment with this. Like, are they aware how bad it is at times? (All of the time..) Ive just tried 3 gold matches in a row and haven't been able to make it past wave 5 or so because of this. Not only is it hindering my ability to get credits and thus, not even able to try any of the new content (I can live with RNG treating me poorly, I've grown used to it over the years). But also the fact that its wasted my consumable 3 times in a row -and- makes me look like a jerk that just ditched my squad : \\

Tried hosting a gold match, same thing. I can't even finish gold matches anymore. Id love to play your game EA/Bioware, though at this point its seemingly a waste of time to even try.

Hi Guash,

I was having a nightmare with the disconnects, as were many others. I tried contacting EA Tech Support (don't bother, you just go round in circles).

I'm on Windows 7 64-bit running Norton 2012 IS. I tried all the open ports, forwarding, turn off UDUP on the router etc. None of these worked. Origin is set to run at startup (v 8.6.0.357).

The only thing that I have found that stops the problem for me is:
1. Go into ME3.
2. ALT-TAB back to desktop, go into Norton, delete Origin, OriginClient and ME3 from the Program Control list as ME3 is running in the background.
3. Go back to ME3.
4. This has let me play without any problems for the last 4 days.   I can even buy things without the damn thing hanging and saying "ME3 has lost connection blah blah".

They may have "fixed" something with the latest Origin and Earth DLC, I dunno. But I was getting really fed up. I couldn't even play the Singleplayer at one point.

Anyway, this may or may not help. Just a case of trying different suggestions. Trouble is there are so many variables with system setup's etc and EA don't seem to be officially acknowledging this, yet there are posts everywhere on the topic.

EDIT: Typos

The disconnects are a real problem and as I said, it can be really difficult to fix on your own system. Caratinoid has a post where he "rounds up" all the suggestions, it might help you:
