Yeah that would be cool. It'd give something us to do as well.
Adding a challenge system that rewards you.
And the extraction credits would be nice too...

I'd love some extraction credits. My only concern is that 10k on Gold probably isn't enough to recoup supplies lost going for said extraction.
The challenge idea is completely and unequivocally baws though.

Might I also suggest xp boosts for support actions? I played with a demolisher yesterday as a heavy krogan sentinel, and his supply pylon provided me with tons of grenades and harrier ammo so I cleaned up, but the guy himself was wandering off elsewhere and didn't get many points.
Something simple like plus 200 for supplying a friendly, plus 200 for enemy killed while distracted by your decoy etc.
By extension, perhaps a credit boost (x1.2 or so) for the top player.
I understand what you're trying to get at, but I have to say hell no. No offense, but ME3 multiplayer is purely coop, and each team member's individual credits and xp are based on overall team performance. This is done to take away any real incentive for players to spend their time points-whoring to the point that they leave their teammates hanging out to dry. Even with the current system we still see people stay outside extraction to get extra last minute kills, ignore reviving teammates because they're too busy building their kills, or simply running around and sniping every kill they can find after someone else has done most of the work. Now, imagine what things would be like if that kind of behavior had a real bonus rather than just a meaningless score.
Now, if you're simply talking about giving people points for support activities, then fine. then again, do you really need a score to tell you who contributed to the team's success? You know who killed the most enemies, helped their teammates the most, and did the most to help the team complete it's credit making objectives. Let's face it, we don't look up to that vanguard that ends up with high score by constantly charging into things and dying. We laugh at him and boot him from the lobby after the match.

Now, as for credits for actually extracting...you bet. If you want people to take the extra time and put in the extra effort to extract, it would probably help to reward that extra effort. XP is nice and all, but if the character being used is already level 20, it's completely meaningless.

I think the idea of anyone playing a round with a level 20 character not having any incentive to get out of the mission alive is a serious design flaw.

Yeah, seriously. Give us something of value. At least for level 20's. Maybe an "extraction token" and once you get 5 of them you can buy a PSP with it or something.
