Are all of you still playing the trilogy or just using the multi player ?

How often do you still play all variations of Shepard and his/her love interests in ME 1 and ME 2 ?
Has the Mass Effect Universe been killed by Multi Player ME 3 or is it still intact for you ?
Are you indeed still playing the games or just using the multi player facility ?
(Please keep it civil, no name calling, no pictures a.s.o. - there is enough out there already; just your true feelings about your past and present enjoyment of playing the Mass Effect Universe in all.)

Man, I've been playing single player to the overkill. I don't do this with other franchises. So think of it as a compliment Bioware.
Three complete playthroughs on Mass Effect 1 (PC). [Infiltrator, Adept, Adept again,] ,
Four complete playthroughs on Mass Effect 2 (PS3) [Adept, Engineer, Vanguard, Infiltrator]
Four complete playthroughs on Mass Effect 3 (PS3) [Adept, Engineer, Vanguard, Infiltrator]
I've also done a bit on multiplayer and will be playing some more.
I played this game a lot. I love the trilogy a lot.
But it's been saturated though, four playthroughs.
I am happy with the extended cut, before you ask. I will be playing single player DLC (as long is it's more missions).
A new single player difficulty would be nice. I've beaten insanity four times. When you compare insanity to bronze, silver, gold and platinium onliine, insanity seems like a breeze by comparasan.

The reason for not playing ME until then is over playing these games (great as they are they start loosing their attraction on the 7th or 8th run)

ME2 on the otherhand has much fewer things that bug me. The story wasn't as good, the characters were more shallow, but those are things I can deal with.
Given that ME3 has taken the best of every game, the only reason I can think of playing the originals is to experience the story first hand. Honestly, I'd rather have a genesis comic to skip all of it. I don't dislike the original games, it's just that ME3 is amazing and playing the old games is tedious and boring by comparison.
As for multiplayer...
I don't play the multiplayer much. It's just a big grind to unlock garbage I don't want. If they had deals to unlock specific things, at worst character packs for instance (one random character you do not own for x credits) would be nice, a weapon pack with the same ideology (minus N7 level weapons) would also be nice.
I'm not going to do hundreds of games though to try and hopelessly unlock the one character I want, and I'm certainly not going to shell out cash for it. Playing the game is its own reward, but it would be much more enjoyable if I could play it with the class I want to play as. Seriously, I'd actually buy DLC that unlocked rank 1 of every character type, but I'm not spending a cent on reinforcement packs.
I guess that leaves me in a predicament where I won't enjoy multiplayer. So be it, I'll play it as I feel like it and do random games up my war readiness when I play through it. Besides that, meh, we'll see.
Overall, multiplayer is average at best. Incredibly boring and repetitive at worst. Random 'kill enemies' games gets old fast, if we had story-based modes (not Shepard's story, but scenarios to play through) I would love the game so much more. But we don't, and I can't see DLC like that ever coming.
At least I can play as krogans and quarians though, I guess. It almost even makes up for the fact we didn't get Wrex in our squad on single player...

I haven't played all classes yet. First run was a Soldier class with MaleShep and the second run was with the FemShep. Liked the female version better, tried Vanguard and loved it. After that I started building up a character type with the Adept and stuck with it. Loved the Renegade, tried the Paragon, but preferred the Paragade. But I have to admit that I don't get on with ME3 for various reasons. The major gripe is MP. It grinds my preferred style of playing ME to a complete halt, no matter how I try. The interference of MultiPlayer just makes it such a chore. Don't get me wrong, I have played MuliPlayer and I did enjoy it to a point. It just stifles my SinglePlayer so much and not for the first time do I wish that MultiPlayer was a separate choice .
Oh well, I just have to bite the bullet and decide what to do. Two brilliant games out of three is better than none. Time will tell.
