The Turian Soldier is my favorite soldier class.

However the Destroyer still outclasses him in terms of DPS and weapon usability. Just looking at the numbers in a general sense can show that the Destroyer is better overall when both classes try to fill the same role.

Agreed, I still love my Turian Soldier (and Sentinel)

Would love him a lot more if concussive shot was actually useful...

i tend to use proximety mine a lot with my turian soldier. i end up racking up kills when i keep firing them into groups of enemies while firing the revenant in between cooldowns. so yeah, turian soldier kicks ass.

I really don't like his kit other than marksman personally. If proximity mines were not sharing cooldown perhaps the kit would shine more but as it stands, with so many heads around for you to waste your ammo on (And damn you can waste it fast) it seems a bit useless.

I use the TS with P-mine + Hurrincane.
I don't really use MM since it burns out Hurricane bullets too fast and interferes with P-mine.

The only thing I don't like about the Turian Soldier is he has a lot of GCD clutter. If you go Marksman then you basically don't use Proxy Mine or Concussive Shot 95% of the time.

Other than that give him the N7 Piranha or N7 Typhoon and watch everything die with Marksman as the only ability you need anyway.

I use proxy only for bosses, MM don't give bonus damage for single bullet so armored thing can be harder to take down. So basicly Proxy, wait for cooldown than MM hellstorm. FTW

Finally a thread that compliments the TS and isn't just whining about his mobility or durability. I haven't unlocked the Destroyer so I can't compare them but I think that TS is the best soldier, with the passive stability and marksman he easily doubles the effectivness of any automatic or high recoil weapon. I take him on gold frequently and feel his damage output is enough and he doesn't require a roll or more health because use him well and he is a heavy hitter.

The only problem I have with the TSold is the fragility. I prefer the Turian Sentinel most of the time for the overload stun - I overload them then shoot. DPS isn't as high, but when they can't fire back=win.

I have made the soldier work, but it really does feel dangerous.

The destroyer, much as I love playing him, really does feel like playing the game on easy-mode.

I'm exactly the opposite.  Marksman can actually make groups of mooks a pain because you're firing too fast and too accurately, the latter being mainly about shotguns where spreading the fragments around is advantageous when firing at a group of enemies.  So, I usually pop a proxy then fire normally at groups while against bosses MM on its own is more than enough; when it comes to bosses (up to gold anyway) if I'm playing the Turian Soldier I don't really need a team.

As for the idea that the Destroyer is superior, having played both the last few days (Piranha style) the Turian deals more damage in my experience when Marksman is activated.  The not-even-2-second delay between applications (I don't carry 2 weapons because it's so rare I need both) becomes all but meaningless if you take the duration buff and use the class passive for the headshot bonus.  Besides, IMO the Turian is more versatile (all 3 powers are potentially useful depending on playstyle - in fact I could make arguments for skipping any of the 3) while the Destroyer has one mostly useless power and the third is gear/ammo box dependent.
