To all those who spam Overload/Energy Drain when someone is playing the N7 Fury please stop it.

I joined a gold game a few days back with my human engineer only to realize that the rest of my squad were Asari.
Normally, I would play the way I normally played, but I felt compelled to lay off the overload. In all honestly, 3 adepts working with each other to setup combos will have much more success than 1 engineer screwing it all up.
this.
also if everyone is biotic don't sue disrutper rounds. it just ruins the BEs
the other option would be join the fun and be a biotic or somehting else you can do damage with (soldier, infiltrator, etc)
ususally when playing with friends we'll do team syrnegy runs (all tech, all biotic, all solders, all melee) and change each game.

I never just assume that randoms know things like this so I just do it myself.

but this kind of thing is often why
I often find myself detonating tech bursts with annhilation field (searched for a/a/s and got sent to U/G/S in progress with everyone else as a tech character)
no big deal there I just get an assist instead of a kill

i'm gonna put aside the whole TB to BE argument. eveyrone has preference and they are both pretty equally powerful in terms of damage some prefer TB some prefer BE. its irrelevant. The point here is that the fury relies on BEs in order to survive. by running around spamming overload behind one to get points for TBs your causing your teammate to die. its not a matter of points or kills or what is better, its called being a good teammate. the fury is a upclose walking biotic bomb and for me i rely on the stagger of the BEs (TBs don't stagger) to but time for my power recharge so i can BE again or detone my AF to finish them off. if i walk into 5 people and you overload right before i throw then i throw you get a TB and do some damage but I die, if you don't you get no points but i wipe out 5 people at once.
So whats better
you get some assist points on damage but have a dead teammate and 5 alive enemies
you get 0 points but have 5 dead enemies and an alive teammate
thats the point the OP is making. i'd be pissed to. If I was an asari adept and you did it i wouldn't care cause throw throw = TB then BE and i'm far away and in cover so the extra time doesn't matter
And again, you can always change your class if you join a lobby with tech characters. Expecting people to not use their powers because you "need" biotic explosions is just unrealistic, especially with PuG's.

A fury specced for close combat needs enemy barriers and shields to survive. Team survival is more important than a quick tech burst. Use your tech bursts at a different group of enemies or something.
This is true, but remember so is the oppisite, a salarian with energy drain needs enemy barriers and shields to survive aswell

The moment your survival becomes a liability for the team or lowers the effectiveness of the team it's time you consider changing class

Just throw his overloaded target....Tech bursts every 3 secs or so = win win. Your throw wont miss because target is staggered.
Help the team, stop being a BE elitist.

It's weird how the tech characters are apparently the ones that always have to change their targets and make place for the Biotics.
Biotic players can be the biggest primadonnas.
Not as bad as Infiltrators, but primadonnas....

correct. i'm always up for changing my class to sync with the team. if there are 3 tech players i know better then using a biotic, but if there are 3 biotics and one tech guy runs around spamming overload causing them to die then thats just bad teamwork and selfish on his part.

When the Fury is on the field you're nothing but a benchwarmer.

With that said, now I know. I was in a team w/ a fury and two other tech characters. The other's kept using overload/energy drain and I (being a sal. engineer) just used incinerate to detonate the tech powers.
Side note: I feel like dark channel wasn't super great in SP and still isn't in MP.

Ok, some of us have no idea wtf the field does. To assume everyone knows that a fury requires there to be shields is a little presumptuous.

if your playing on silver you shoud understand the powers and mechanics at minimum. learn all the stuff on bronze. espicially not gold. i wouldn't care if it was silver honestly. but don't come into a gold match and ruin eveyrhting becuase you don't know the mechanics
the fury gets her barrier back from baries and shields. if overloadstrips teh shield you just cost the fury her barriers
AF primes BEs when active and staggers. if i'm in 4M of a group they are primed to be exploded, you overload and i get no explsion and most likely die in the process

2. Throw twice on target
3. ????
4. Profit!
//edit: Also, how are people supposed to know, if you specced your AF for drain?
