Is it Wrong of me to expect Grenades from Demolishers?

On all Occasions I was playing the Destroyer with grenade cap 5 and their were 2 or more demolishers in the team.
My first game which i encountered this was on wednesday, I went to a supply pylon to get some nades and ammo (the destroyer can run out pretty fast), but the demolishers stood on their pylons and shot at me, I assumed that they needed them so I let them take the supplies, except they were being picked up, the players both had full supply. So I tried to get some again and both players came on their mics and began to shout and curse at me saying I should get my own grenades or spec out of them. I said that this is a team game and teamwork is the only way we are going to win this match, it's platinum afterall, they immediately replied by saying 'We are reporting you for being unhelpful team member and you should play a demolisher instead if i want to use grenades, the destroyer sucks anyway Learn to play'
(i was topping the scoreboard).
They proceeded to kick me after the game, so i promptly left.
This happened in about 3 seperate games with different people with virtually the same outcome except others werent speaking like these 2. But they still wouldn't allow me to use their pylons, I wasn't using them excessively or anything, just when nessercery.
I Dont understand, Is it wrong for me to expect some teamwork and supplies when needed? or was I being a prat?

^ This. More to the point if the demolisher is camping her own pylon that means she's not hogging nades from the ammo boxes.

People play them for selfish reasons... nobody shares nades.
I did play with one Demo who shared his nades with my Krentinel. DESTRUCTION!!!! We got to wave 10. Then i DISCONNECTED >_<
Grenade pylon hogging is a major problem of all vanilla maps. White/Glacier/Reactor/etc... where all crates give only 1 nade.

True, and that is why I only went for grenades when nessercery, the Demolisher doesnt have the weapon capabilities the Destroyer does, But i still need some grenades too so when the ammo boxes were out of reach I tried my best to get some without hurting their supply, i ended up using all of my thermal clip packs (not a problem but an annoyance).

When I finally unlock the Demolisher (I'm damn well determined) I'll have my mic plugged in just to request that they leave my pylon to me.
I mean...I did put it down 'for' me...

And personally, I find that the Demolisher (if it's a decent player) makes better use of grenades that other classes (except maybe the Male Quarian). Arc Grenade + Homing grenade for tech burst and if the shields are down, homing grenade + shotgun shredder makes armored units go down like butter.

I can always fire my harrier when I have no nades.
Always a pleasure to help teammates.

Silo's are mobile too. I you need some, just create a new one and pick up 2 immediately. No need to keep one planted in the same spot.

Other than that, have the ammo and nades if you need them, if you got actually useful nades, not 1 point put into them.

What I do is put down the pylon, camp on it, but let others get ammo and grenades too. First come, first serve I say, it's up to chance who picks them up when they spawn and those with full nades can't pick them up anyway.
In conclusion, I'd say that the two demolishers OP described were selfish.

I think some people misunderstood me, I very rarely went to the pylon, about 3 or 4 times in a match, i ran around the map for grenades but they were only plus +1 boxes, had i been on Jade it would have been less of a problem. Sometimes it was by accident, We fell in a room for a hack and got into cover, and the person planted the pylon on top of me several times because we were so tightly packed, hell, i even moved out of cover into the doorway so they could get some but they still continued to fire at me.
Then it's definitely them being selfish and crappy teamplayers. There's nothing else to it. If you HAVE TO avoid the pylon or go a big circle and get shot so you don't "accidentally" get the ammo or grenades, they are crappy teamplayers and yeah... I'd kick them.

Well, that just sounds like a ****. If I plant a pylon down for an objective, I just hope for everyone's survival, with both the weapon and shields boost, but also the ammo supply (since objectives are rarely near an ammo crate). Again, do your best to be reasonable, and you should be fine, unless you're playing with a ****.

Prepare for the nerd rage for not being a "team player" when the rest of your team ignores ammo boxes entirely for the rest of the match then rage melees you for placing your Pylon's elsewhere.

The pylon provides additional weapon or power damage within its radius, so most demolishers are certainly speccing for power damage (for nades) and camping their own pylons. However, they should share the pylon with the team. It's a co-op game, so there's no reason to be selfish.

Personally, I have it specced for weapon damage, since I rarely am able to stand in the radius to get good angles on my nades. Really, I just keep it somewhere nearby as a home base, and wander around that area looking for opportunities, but I realize most demolishers are unfortunately less mobile than this.
I even had a game where someone wanted me to place my pylon on top of theirs, for double the boost, but I'd rather have it cover a larger area, since I never want to be that immobilized on any map. A nearby area sure, but a single spot is right out.

It's selfish to expect to profit from one of your own abilities? Even then, if you want to look at it on the team front then arguably only the Male Quarians can make better use of grenades than the Demolishers, thus it is not good practice to sacrifice themselves in order for you to get more grenades that you almost certainly cannot make as good a use out of.Biotic_Warlock wrote...

As far as i'm concerned... if I put my Pylon down and move away from it then i'm actively inviting other players to use it when they need to, if they do then fair enough. BUT if I put my Pylon down and then sit on it then i'm clearly wanting to grenade spam and thus do not want anyone attempting to steal my nades. In that situation if people do steal my grenades they are hindering a teammates (my) play and to do so is just selfish. If there was no Demolisher you would have had to go to an ammo box anyway.
