I got plenty of weapons. Switched to the M6 Carnifex V after making this thread, and it worked a lot better. The Scorpion is also quite good, since it lets you carpet bomb the enemies from afar. 

Ahh, got you.  Buy a lot of PSP's then?  Sounds like you're good to go now.

No, but I figured if you only had Avenger VII you probably didn't have the Carnifex.

The Phalanx is lighter though, so you should have better cooldown on the powers with it.  Either is a "better" choice than the Avenger on an Adept, IMO.

You might still get kicked on Platinum with Phalanx because if someone sees a common or uncommon weapon equiped they will assume you don't have enough experience in the game.

I usually just buy Spectre packs. Premium packs always gives the same stuff.

So on the topic of getting kicked from Platinum games, I just got kicked from one... and no I'm not low level, I'm around 900 N7 and got all level 10 gold weapons. So why in the world would I get kicked you asked? The reason? I DIDN'T want to rocket exploit, pretty much everyone except me was equipped with a Striker in the lobby I joined so... wtf...

an avenger on platinum is reason enough for most to kick

I have to admit that I personally don't like seeing Adepts with AR's and Sniper Rifles. It almost never ends well. That being said, I played with a AV one time rocking a Valiant and it worked very well for him. But obviously he wasn't expected to be a Warp/Throw bot, so cooldown wasn't really an issue.

with the new pistol ULM an adept could use a paladin or talon with 200% cooldown

LOL...I did that once switching from a DA to an AA.  Wave 1 of course I remembered.  I think I had the fastest score of exiting a lobby after that game.  Nice to know I'm not the only one.

i'm sorry but if you don't know the basics of weapons and what is better and what your good with, you shouldn't be going into platinum matches. its not a chance to se if your an awesome player. wait until you can consistently beat gold before moving to platinum. The other 3 players won't want to carry you and if you do really bad the team will fail and you'll get kicked

The avenger explains it. It's a pretty newbie connected weapon, and you don't even have it to 10. They therefore assume you're a newb.

I played five or so Gold matches, and completed all of them, befor entering my first Platinum game (and I won that one too). I've been playing the game since launch, so no, I'm not new. The Avenger works perfectly for me, but for some reason, using that one will get me kicked. The stats doesn't mean anything. If I don't like the feel of the weapon, and it doesn't fit my playstyle, I won't use it. The Ravenger has got some great stats, but I still really don't like using it. That's just how it is. 

I don't suck at the game and I'm not a noob. I'm asking for advice, which may help me get better. I don't see anything wrong with that. Kicking people because they use a weapon you don't like is lame as ****.

Realistically, although I wouldn't kick you, if you are using an Avenger VIII, I'm going to prepare myself to be able to carry you. I would also assume you do not have enough experience to play on platinum (or gold for that matter).

There's a different order of magnitude difficulty wise when comparing Gold vs Platinum. I think you said somewhere above you won 1-6 games in Gold? Perhaps I read it wrong, but if that is the case, you should consider "leveling up" some more in Gold. I'm not talking N7- I'm talking weapons and combat training essentially. I'm not insinuating you are a noob it's just even a lot of more "intermediate" players will wash out on Platinum. I have done only a few full extractions on Platinum- I'm not an "elite" player, I've always had a crew of my XBL bff's rolling with me and it was tough and exhilirating. I think though that if you don't play Gold regularly you probably aren't going to contribute much to a Platinum team. 
I could be totally wrong and I understand that so please don't be upset that I offered you my humble opinion. For all I know you could be super elite. But most of us are not and we have to earn our ability to play at the highest difficulties (and for me that is part of my enjoyment period). Your equipment that seems great on Gold may not be as effective on Platinum depending on the variables (IE ammo, if it's less than an X weapon, what class you are playing etc). 
I woudn't run ANY weapon that wasn't an X in Platinum, period.

I never kick anyone unless they don't ready for an exorbitant amount of time, and even then I always give them a chance and I'm always the third vote.

I will leave a lobby though if I see more than one person with a weird loadout. Adepts that pack a sniper/Claymore, for example. I'm glad you have ranged and CQC covered, but I would like you to get a Reave off more than once an hour.

In your case, I don't mind seeing the Avenger on an Adept and I certainly wouldn't kick you for it. Yeah, it's kind of a crappy gun. But as an Adept of some sort you probably aren't shooting it much anyway so it's not a huge deal. Switching to the Carnifex is a good choice though, and will probably allow you to avoid the wrath of people getting angsty because of the Avenger.

I won't promote my charactera, since it screw up the singleplayer. Resetting your character level over 30 times is a wate of time anyway, so screw that.

anyone can win a gold. i won a gold with a level NZ of 1 before. him and the other guy abrely scored much while me and my friend dominated teh scorboard. winning is eveyrhting but did you really do enough damage or support that you cuold do it with a lesser team?

The Avenger is not a Platinum weapon in my not humble at all opinon.
And yes, the Carnifex is better than the Phalanx.
