300 N7 is noob country. Get to to 1000+ and then maybe you get some respect.

Haha, I laugh at people like you, who think that N7 level matters above 120. I'm 600 and I've soloed gold plenty of times. There are plenty of people below 1000 that are great at the game, they just don't promote.

Do you seriously think you are ready for platinum? It isn't easy by any stretch of the imagination. And for those who think it is easy...they've got all their UR's at X or close to it.

It's not fantastic, but it's way better than what the other guys had.

There's your answer. I'd probably kick you as well. Avenger isn't going to do much against Phantoms and Primes. Use a real gun and you'll see different results.

You say you're not a noob, but the fact that you're asking this question really does not impart ANY confidence in your abilities on gold/plat. I don't know if you're trolling or what, and the fact you're hiding your profile from us...fishy.

I wouldn't attempt plat with my manifest which I am willing to bet is better than yours. I'm a steady gold player and understand that if you paid for the game you can play whatever difficulty you want but don't expect everyone to want to carry you.

Reasons to kick should be legitimate not because 'my gun is better than yours' or not having the right mods equipped.

I was kicked for being an infiltrator. WHY???? The leader even said 'we don't want infiltrators'

Idlers deserve kicking.and people with their headset turned on so loud you can hear their TV aswell.

Wrong mods is def a kickable offense. So is one too many infiltrators.

Seeing in a lobby what the op describes as their loadout, I'd be inclined to leave the lobby for gold, and would definately for plat.

Bull.  Platinum is harder than a priest in a playground, why should people trust complete strangers' ability to do awesome with crap weapons?  There are some people out there that can rip up a capital ship with a mantis but they're few and far between.  The great majority of the time you see someone with low end gear, it's because they don't know any better and/or don't have the good stuff unlocked.  Why do strangers deserve the trust of putting the rest of the group's time and expendable gear on the line?  No one owes it to them to trust they're one of the precious few who can handle gold, let alone platinum, with a starter weapon or with mods that show the person clearly doesn't have a firm understanding of game mechanics?

Really? I'd like to see that in the official rules.. They are made up rules - unwritten rules made up by the elite.

Having wrong mods equipped is NOT a kickable offence and certainly a non justifiable one.

People should get off their high horses

I wouldn't want a player with that weapon, either. In gold armor remove a flat 50 (or is it 30?) damage of each bullet. It must be even higher in platinum. Without at the very least armor penetration V mod on your AR, your weapon is way to underpowered.

That's should be down to the 'stranger' to find out and quit the match (another person will join soon enough to fill the gap)..

I tried platinum and I hate it (it takes too long and the added mixed enemies is not for me). I can just about manage gold.

I can be quite determined and join a match and find out if it's doable or not (for me). If I can't -- or find that the squad is messing around or get stuck in a revive/die loop then I quit.
I don't care about points ect. I am there for my own enjoyment (and frustration).

I won't allow myself to be kicked for ludicrous reasons. I'd quit before they get a chance to kick me.

As I stated before you are more than welcome to play any difficulty you please but an adept with assault riffle gear is gonna get kicked. Sorry. I don't want to have my destroyer tearing stuff up only for some caster class not supporting in any way.

I'll give you 3 reasons why I would give you kick

°1:poor weapons

°2:no consumibles(ammo rounds,armor,)

°3:bad combination character/weapon

platinum it's not for noobs

Adept with Avenger on gold (let alone platinum) = instakick. It just cries - "I'm a noob". If you didn't max uncommon weapons i.e. Avenger VIII, you shouldn't bother entering gold/platinum. You harm your team making them carry you.
Get at least Phalanx and only then start playing with adept on gold.
Oh and using consumables on platinum is courtesy to other players.

How long to kill a banshee with that gear? Oh, I guess you were joining for moral support. Good luck!

How is this so hard for you to understand?  Keeping that person requires blind faith in them, and no one owes that to them.  Even in your scenario where you acknowledge the person might suck, you seem to think everyone will realize "wow I'm just dead weight, I'll quit and let someone else join" rather than continue dragging the team down.  Again, blind faith.  Again, no one owes that.  Deal.  With.  It.

I leave when I'm about to be kicked too.  But I don't delude myself into thinking it's some moral victory.  I  just do it as an acknowledgement that I'm not welcome and going peacefully.  The whole "you can't fire me, I quit!" thing is almost as daft as your "everyone owes it to everyone else to let an infiltrator armed only with a shuriken III into their matches" attitude.

OP - The Avenger at X does 48 damage per bullet. On Gold, armor removes 50 damage per bullet. I don't know what it is on Platinum. This means that every bullet you fire is doing the minumim of 5 points of damage. With your amps and warp ammo, maybe 15 or so per bullet. A Prime on Gold has 28000+ shields/armor. An Atlas has 42000. even if doing full damage against shields with a level X Avenger, you would need 1150 or so rounds to drop the Prime, and 1750 for the Atlas. This is with a level X Avenger, on GOLD.

As stated by other posters, you would be better of with another weapon. A Carnifex is still going to hit for a few hundred per bullet after armor reduction, as an example. The guys who booted you figured that you were just not going to contribute between power tosses, maybe rightfully so.

I have lots of why the Avenger is a poor choice, but not a lot of why something else is a better choice - so let me put my two cents in here and hopefully be helpful.

This is the most telling (to me) comment you have made so far.

Brovikk Rasputin wrote...

Well, I sure kill a lot of enemies with it, so what's the problem? I'm an Adept, so it's only for when my powers are recharging anyways.

You should not be 'killing a lot of enemies' with your weapon.  You are an adept YOU are the weapon.  Every weapon you could possilby equip on your character should be a total after thought - used for snap opportunities or OMG moments you need a get out of jail free card.

The heavier the weapon the slower your biotic recharge times will be.  So by takin gin an Avenger - assuming it's impacting your cool downs - your hampering yourself.   Your biotics are FAR more powerful than that gun and you should be slamming them out so fast that you barely get to see the cool down timer doing anything BUT cooling down.

As mentioned before - your playing a squishy class with a class of gun that requires exposure and particularly one of those guns that requires a LOT more than others.  If your spamming warp ammo - an SMG is a better choice.  If your spamming tech ammo (Cryo, Incendiary, Disruptor)  STOP - they interfere w/ your biotics.

The carnifex and other heavy pistols like it rock because they deliver a ton of hurt w/ minimal exposure and are light weight - they also synergize often w/ adept classes (pistol weight reductions etc)  Im not a fan of the scorpion because of the delayed detonation - if i need to use a pistol on a biotic - i generally NEED it to hurt right then and there. my preferred go to is my Talon 7.  I know not everyone has that (Why don't you make your manifest public so we can assist w/ more detailed build info?)

Gear/equipment wise - again - we have no idea what you have - i'll give you an example of a typical load out for me w/ my Asari.

Weapon: Talon 7, Carnifex 10, or Paladin 5. (paladin is the carnifex w/ fewer shots more punch per shot, and is heavier (well for me thats true since it's 5 vs 10)

Mods:  If i don't get a 200% cool down bonus - im going to run ULM If I do get 200% cooldown:
1) Armor Piercing - i don't ever NOT choose this
2) Heavy barrel - i dont shoot it enough to care about extended clips - i want massive damage.

Equipment:
Ammo - Warp 3 or 4 (for gold or platinum you roll w/ the good stuff)
Armor - Power Efficiency Module - i want to cast FAST
Weapon - Pistol Rail Amp - again - i want to hit fast and i don't care about accuracy - not going to try for a head shot - i am trying to kill whatever snuck up on me, but i can STILL shoot the head if there is time.

Gear:
Commando 5 - Boost to biotic damage and pistol.

You wont get kicked w/ a similar load out for any VALID reason.  (N7 Rank kicking is foolish if above 120).

Now - you should be going in with an adept when there are other adepts present - preferrably of a different type - good synergy can be had with the Justicar, Fury, and Drell (off the top of my head)  those classes are excellent 'primers'.  Watch for glowy blue bad guys and throw at them.  watch them explode - watch for more glowy blue bad guys - repeat.    This is the adepts bread and butter style of play.  You can do the same thing with warp/throw - but sadly - your not going to do it as well as you would w/ a buddy. (time)

Do not use stasis bubbles on elite units (Banshee, Brute, Atlas, Prime) or turrets - it does absolutely nothing to them.   Stasis bubbles are fantastic against Phantoms - spam it all day long on them and your team mates will love you.

Stay in cover.

Bear in mine alot of people don't know what the best weapons for each enemy is (Meatiershower - not sure where you got the enemy health from) I've not done weapon/enemy research aside from what I know from playing the Mass Effect franchise.

I mostly use (and am comfortable with) a Paladin II with Capacity and DMG upgrades and the Revenant with Stability and Damage upgrades
Infiltrator is my favorite class (decent against Geth) by far and usually I swap between Infiltrator (Sabotage), Soldier (Concussive Shot) and Engineer (Incinerate).

On occasion I use the Asari Vanguard.

I'm really not a Gold or Platinum player (I can manage Gold if I need to farm credits/XP) but I prefer Silver.

I just got my first N7 Demolisher and I cannot play with her effectively yet - died on Silver a few times :/

You should dump the avenger and swap it for a carnifex, then you will probably stoped getting kicked....probably.Posted Image
