".@PatrickWeekes: I'm sure a lot of people would like to see more of the ME2 squad in future ME3 DLC. RT if you agree!"

Spreed the word and they may jut do it.

From a theoretical point of view, that would be very cool. Sadly, I'm in a difficult position here myself, so I can't really get all excited. But if things were different, I'd be all yay! about it.

Weekes' tweet was a response to a statement I made last night concerning fan desire to see this happen. This isn't him literally saying he's looking into doing so. Your topic title is somewhat misleading, IMO. :)

That's good news. I doubt it would be a permanent crew addition, though. Hmm...who would I pick?

Jack, I think. It's funny, she was probably my least favorite crewmember in ME 2.

That said, advising that we spread the word is absolutely ace and bears constant repeating!

Did he say Kasumi? I could have sworn he just said Kasumi.

Yes, finaly, an idea for ME3 DLC from Bioware which I would be willing to pay for. ^This + Romance DLC are what I realy want Bioware to make.

One question.

How? Especially when a quarter of the Mass Effect 3 cast is needed for the main quest-line, and is not guaranteed to live or die through the adventure?

The only one's I see available are Zaeed and Kasumi, and maybe Samara depending on certain actions. Everyone else either dies during the game at certain points, or has a very solid reason for not joining you.

amazing really how we got omega and ME2 squaddies for free in ME2, now in ME3 it looks like we'll be paying real money to have them. Think i'll just replay ME2 to get my fix. Although i do like me some milf so samara dlc would interest me as i did stop her shooting herself in the head.

Those three can all die too. In fact, the only ME2-introduced squadmate who cannot die is, somewhat oddly considering how his romance was handled, Jacob. If you kept Mr. Taylor alive for the Suicide Mission, his survival is essentially a lock.

There are ways around this, however. As I've said in other threads, and others have proposed as well, utilizing some of these terrific characters in replacable fashions which develop them as individuals and in relation to Shepard and the overarching plot would be the best way to go.

An example I frequently use is Miranda and Jack potentially showing up for a portion of Retake Omega. They both have strong ties to the Cerberus plotline, but Miranda in particular was sidelined to hell and back given her ME2 relevance.

Both characters could show up for Retake Omega, should it indeed come to pass, but they could also have replacements with less player investment. Already on the vanilla side of things, this is how Mordin is handled. This is how Jacob is handled, kinda. This is indeed how Legion is handled.

And Tali.

In fact, is there a replacement for Samara at all on her side mission if she dies in ME2?

And Tali! How could I forget.

There's no Samara replacement, nope. My first file had her dead so I would know that well.

Man, that mission is kind of edgier without Samara. Her daughter basically reminds Shepard that not everyone's gonna worship the ground he walks on, even in these times.

Oh snappp...Shepard got sassed! Lol.

While I was at SDCC, the devs definitely heard one-on-one with the fans that they wanted more ME2 squaddies, that they didn't feel like there was enough. We'll have to see what they do.
