And Tali! How could I forget.
There's no Samara replacement, nope. My first file had her dead so I would know that well.
Man, that mission is kind of edgier without Samara. Her daughter basically reminds Shepard that not everyone's gonna worship the ground he walks on, even in these times.
While I was at SDCC, the devs definitely heard one-on-one with the fans that they wanted more ME2 squaddies, that they didn't feel like there was enough. We'll have to see what they do.

That's good news, I'll make sure more people will know about this.

If this happens leave Legion out of it, I don't understand the hype with that thing. I'd love to see more Jack and Miranda though.

With all due respect Legion got a fair bit of screen time. Unlike the other ME2 squaddies Legion is at least important to the plot.

There are certain ME2-introduced squadmates whose stories I feel are complete and fulfilling as-is. Legion's is one of them, although I get the impression you mean to imply you just don't like him, which is fine too.
I hung out at the BioWare base like a nolife pretty much the entire time XD (I didn't have a pass, and you didn't need one to be there, so... lol) and I kept my ears perked. They were definitely listening to feedback, and fielding difficult questions with genuine concern and not PR BS. In fact, I was in a conversation with Mike Gamble and three pro-enders...and they were like, "Yeah man, we have no idea what the big deal is about" and he said, "Now guys, a lot of people had legitimate issues with the ending..." yada yada paraphrasing yada. He didn't marginalize it at all, which I thought was awesome. He could just as easily have said, "Well you know, some people were upset so we had to do something about it." But no, he was actually giving disgruntled fans a fair shake (more so, in my opinion, actually). Right there, my respect for the guy went up a few notches.JeffZero wrote...
That's good to know and the first I've heard on that. When it comes to DLC especially, there's a stronger sense of, "okay, what do the fans want?", I think, with regard to the franchise. The DLC isn't going to be purchased by anywhere near the total number of people who bought the game itself, so it needs to appeal more to a specific group. Bearing that in mind, and considering the existence of Extended Cut in general, I think our odds are definitely higher than zero!

In person, it's a lot easier to make your voice heard in a constructive manner, in a way that will make them more willing and able to actually listen to what you're saying. On the internet, it's walls of text and whining and complaining, and hammering point after point after point. That can and does get exhausting for anyone. But in person it was awesome to be able to say, "Hey, we really missed the ME2 squaddies in ME3 and if it's possible we really want to see more of them in future DLC." And hear them respond directly back, like, "You're not the first who has said that, we'll definitely look into it." No guarantees, but no one can make guarantees, here. It's just nice to know they acknowledge it.
And those are the kinds of fans they'll listen to for DLC...the ones hardcore enough to travel to SDCC and talk with them face-to-face. They're the market sample for DLC purchases. You're absolutely right about that one.
I'm with you on that. For the former squadmates that weren't squaddies this time around, Legion, Mordin, and Wrex had very meaningful parts to play, and that worked beautifully.JeffZero wrote...
