It's just going to prove that they can release incomplete games in the future and sell content that should have been in the game later on. I guess if something like this is free, then I don't have any reason to complain, but here's to hoping they actually add something new to the game instead of things that should have been but didn't make it.

And that's perfectly fine. It's just that a lot want the option to be able to save him. Maybe you have to do something special in order to do it so you don't feel like a total d!ck if you let him die. IDK, but to kill off a romanceable character when one of the others leaves you, and you practically only have two other options (a problem straight!broShep doesn't have), it seems pretty underhanded.lightsnow13 wrote...
I think I'm one of the few people who would want thane to remain dead. Perhaps add some sort of dlc before the citadel mission. :/ I thought his death was good. Same goes for Mordin and Legion. Although, in comparison.. thane's death wasn't as dramatic. Still, he died protecting the councilor.

This better not be Bioware's idea of a joke. It would be very cruel to 'Tease' us with a comment like this and give 'us' hope and then take it away.
Please don't misinterpret this information. All Patrick Weekes said to me was the same thing the developers have apparently stated to plenty of fans at SDCC, as Sky pointed out: a lot of people are asking for this, so there's a chance it will happen. They're looking into it. That doesn't mean it's a lock. Not by a long, long shot.

I don't really have any interest in this DLC. Kind of sad really if BioWare goes through with this, all it says is that the game they released was lacking in content all around, they've already had to redo the endings, and now the fans want them to redo companions.

Leviathan is like... as close to 100% confirmed as you can possibly get without confirmation and Omega is either going to happen or it's going to happen in another form of media, but it's probably going to happen. So we'll definitely be getting original content either way, I think. And once again, I can't emphasize enough that these DLCs can have variable avenues for additional ME2-introduced squadmate development without needing to be solely about them, which would not be the most logical business move to begin with.

Yeah I figured as much given the title of this thread but it would still be very cruel to tweet about it since most if not all of the Bioware developers kwow that the fan base is combing through all thier tweets with fine tooth comb looking for any info on any up coming dlc content. They should not talk about **** like this out in public if its never going to happen.

Well, I mean... I'm the one who asked Mr. Weekes, he was politely replying to me. The #ME3News twitter is run by BSN's very own Vertigo, who is a fan spreading the news. I mean, if you're saying Mr. Weekes should have just not replied to me, I can't help but disagree! It's nice to see that he cares enough to do so, and I've seen enough of him in the past to know he wouldn't lie about a shared desire.

Patrick simply said that anything is possible if there is enough demand for it, and this (fan) Twitter account is simply trying to get people to show Patrick the level of demand.
It'd be interesting to see how they could work something like this in. More content would have limited accessibility, since most of the cast can die or disappear after their appearance in ME3 (and it couldn't interfere with any of the content that already exists).

Erm, yeah. I know. He also said that he himself would be interested in such a thing, which is worth mentioning but still needs to be taken with a grain of salt as far as moving the requisite mountains to make this happen is concerned.

I agree with CDRSkyshepard!
If you want Thane dead...fine it's your gameplay...but I think us Thane fans should have an option to save him, every other LI has that chance to be saved...so I see no problem for Thane to be saved! And yeah even if we have to do a mission or something special as Skyshepard said to save Thane that would be great!

Yeah, cover all bases and whatnot. The last thing the fandom needs right now is a mistaken belief that the developers are promising things they are not, in fact, promising.

You can have an opinion while you're still going against the story that the writers established. Its like demanding a new ending when you will only get extended scenes.Roxy wrote...

You would have a point if the writers hadn't have tossed around the idea of actually curing him in the first place. Why they decided not to do it, I have no idea, but don't think for a second they always wanted Thane to die. In fact, I'm pretty sure in the script leaks there was a version where he didn't die. Don't quote me on that, though.Blueprotoss wrote...

The problem with script "leaks" is that they're usually not reliable and I'm sure that fits this situation. Either way the writers decided what they wanted to do and the best thing is to accept it then move on just any other story.CDRSkyShepard wrote...

um a leak about a cure for Thane wouldn't break the game, thats Bioware being lazy, they hinted at a way to save Thane but dropped it like other things

Im just glad that Im able to experience the game and play me3. The whole could have been and should have been and ending issues is so tired and old like a broken record that some people just wont let go of. Its like they feed off that could have been should have been to just complain.
I would pay for more single player content into ME3, and yes I definately would like to see ME2 characters more involved into ME3.
But if it is at all possible ....prob a long shot to ask, but I think Kal Reegar should have been a squadmate in ME3.
The email sacrifice was cheap, low and disapointing.
In ME2 the only Quarians left standing during Tali's scene was Reegar and Tali.
Reegar is a survivor a dam good one ~ in team normandy is where he should have been in ME3.
