Hey guys I'm doing my first ever Lets Play and guess whats its on. Mass Effect 3! I'm a big lover of the Mass Effect series and I wanted to do a Lets Play on it. I'm just posting here so you guys can see my Lets Plays and help me improve! Ive only uploaded one video so far (7/20/12) but I'm planning on doing a lot more. At the moment I'm not getting that many views and I would like more so people can give me feed back and advice. So plz watch the first video tell me what you think and give me feed back on here or comment on YouTube.

Here are some of my observations:

Production:

You seemed pretty organic with your speech. Sometimes you felt a tad bit uncomfortable like you were thinking too much about what to say, but I would rather a commentator err on that side than come off as being a scripted robot. You had good sound quality; your voice was crisp and clean. Pretty chill voice. Nice mature tone for your age.

Video was high quality with HD.

Content:

Nothing wrong with what you said. I would have preferred for you to talk about your feelings about the previous games during the downtime. Maybe have a little expose on what you thought about some of these characters we see in the intro coming into the third game. Personally, when I watch LP's, I like to hear the person discussing the universe in detail while they play. For example, you mention Kaidan always dies in your games. Maybe you could expand on what you like and dislike about Kaidan or why you prefer Ashley, segwaying into the awkward meeting scene.

Overall, I think you did a pretty good job for a first LP. I would be interested in seeing what you do with more.

Might want to get rid of the rogue 'd'.

Your voice is really pleasant to listen to; you still sound really stiff and awkward. If you're not a big talker, then really you shouldn't be doing let's plays; commentary is part of that.

However, if you're going to continue attempting it, I say you're doing a...decent? Acceptable? Job. You're really not amazing or all that entertaining to listen to, but your voice makes up for it. Very smooth, calm, and pleasant.

I think given time you could be pretty good at this; for the moment, you're about a 5-6/10.

So, tips?

Relax. Joke around. Have fun. Be silly. Not obnoxious, but silly. Let us know you're enjoying the game.

Get into character. Why are you making the choices you're making? What is your Shepard like? What were your motivations and thoughts on the other two games? Like you did talking about Ash.
'If you can hit it, then you save it'. Cute. And you have a nice laugh.

Talk about the game itself more. As it stands, you're just sort of rambling, and it makes you sound awkward and unsure.

Also, more- stop. Apologizing. Lord above, that's annoying. No one expects you to be perfect, and the mistakes, muttering, keyboard noises and and everything else are less irritating then you constantly apologizing about them.

Having now watched to the end, I still say 6/10; decent job, and possibly subbing you.

Thank you I think I sound unsure because I dont really plan out what I'm going to say for each episode I just go off the top of my head, plus its like 90 degrees in my room so I guess I sound uncomfortable and a little awkward. And at the moment I'm doing the lp on this game because even though its not the best out of the Mass Effect series but Its the newest one and its still good other than the ending (which they have fixed).

And I have been told by my friends that I should loosen up a little, When I first tried it I sound very scripted but I feel as if I'm improving. And I do talk its just when I'm fighting I kind of focus a lot. And Thanks I felt like I was saying sorry way to much and wont be anymore (just needed someone to tell me). Thanks for the feed back its just what I wanted, so I can learn on improving.
