 I reasonly bought DAUE from Amazon and donloaded it  to my computer but when I try to play I get an error message stating that I cannot launch because of a misconfiguration.and to please reinstall the game and try again, I have done this several times and I continue to get the same message. What  can I or you do to correct this so that I can play Dragon age?

You do not have a SITE problem. This forum is for members to discuss their Site Problems with one another.  You have a GAME problem. Take it to the appropriate DA: O Tech Discussion Forum, please.

When you get there, read the top several stickied messages' starting posts.   Several are from a member here who played and DM'd tabletop RPG play in the 1970s, and has been building X86 PCs since 1986.  There are active members in the community, still playing NWN1, ten years after it was new, but a majority of the members from the Legacy Forums did not elect to remain active on any Bioware web site after the old forums were shut down.

thanks for the info I did not know where to go
