Mass Effect 2 was just sheer joy.  The build up and execution was fantastic.  Sure it was pretty much a waste of a game due to you not accomplishing anything.  But the fact is that it had a climax that left many people emotionally satisfied.

Mass Effect 3... it was just a wet fart.  I mean sure it was good to get it out but in the end it left me feeling deflated, confused about what just happened and with a bad taste in my mouth.

ME3 wouldn't have had the "wet fart" ending if ME2 had had a relevent plot.
