Throughout the game, I have acquired a variety Darkspawn goodies and, despite their stats penalties, I have found them to be quite enjoyable for their menacing appearance. I have found swords, daggers, bows, and shields; all in abundance. My question is: WHERE'S THE ARMOR?!?! I must say that I salivate when I see the wide variety of vicious looking plates of protection worn by those nasties and am sorely disappointed when I look through my inventory to find yet another pair of chainmail boots, studded leather gloves, or a helmet that sits so large atop the melon that it looks like my character is about ready to lauch to the moon. Even the mage's attire, save for Morrigan's (which can only be worn by Morrigan, I might add), looks like something worn by an aging spinster. Why so conservative?! This seems a bit out of the ordinary from the designers that brought us Baulder's Gate, NWN, and NWN2 which had no problem providing a huge variety of different attire. Am I the only one feeling the pain? Having only the xbox version, I kinda have to wait it out until an add-on is available. Any idea that this is something that may be coming down the road in the future as an add-on? Hope so! Help a brother out!
New armor.......PLEASE!!!!!

AGREED BABY! WHERES THE DARKSPAWN ARMOUR?! they should also make a "expansion" a side story about one of the darkspawn or a side story about the 1st darkspawn. now wouldnt that be fun? if they do make that expansion or add on. I'LL be the 1st to buy it!!!!

Good to see that I'm not the only one excitied about the prospect. In fact, I couldn't help but get excited when I played the first time and witnessed the Orzammar war scene. You can imagine my disappointment after completing the game 4 times. :>(((( Come on, Bioware! Let's get a little more SINISTER like we all know you can be!!!!

*hacks down a hurlock alpha - swells with pride when looting the last piece of darkspawn armour*
*wears the set and strides into redcliffe castle expecting a heroes welcome*
*guards immediately hack down the player, mistaking it for darkspawn*

The variety of rogue and mage armor in terms of looks is abysmal.

They should make helm with a similar design to King Peter's helm in the Chronicles of Narnia movie. It would make me feel more like a tank with the small narrow eye slits. http://costumes.narn...terhelmet2.jpg.

I agree more armor would look cool. I didn't like how I would loot stuff that looked totally different on my character when I put it on. Darkspawn armor would be cool.
sorry Ive gotta try: http://social.bioware.com/brc/1469711

One thing I find really funny is lets say you kill a poison spider, and when you loot him you pick up a health potion and an axe, I don't remember seeing them while in the battle, where was the spider hiding them
My point being however is, if you can pick up unrelated items from enemies, why can't you take stuff that is applicable to the character. Like if I kill the steel ogre, I'm sure Wade could melt that down the ogre armor into a few suits of armor for me. This would make items much more fun to collect.

They should add the Warden's closed helm from the first Dragon Age Origins trailer. It was really cool.

I rationalize it by imagining that the spider ate some poor axe wielding warrior whole.
