Hey everyone. I was wondering if any of you that are experienced gold players could take a look at my manifest and give me some suggestions on what weapons I should bring into gold. Played a few matches, u/u/g tonight and I have to put a frustrating amount of ammo into enemies to bring them down. Any advice would be a great help.
I think it can depend on how you like to play, is there a class you'd rather play as? Do you like to use powers or are you into guns guns guns? And which kinds of guns too!
Piercing mods are good for gold elite enemies combined with damage mods if you've got decent ranks in them.
I agree with a lot of people here about the claymore, it's satisfying to use! A smart choke makes it more satisfying too.
Your :devil:Graal Spike Thrower IX:devil: could be very fun (chargable weapon!) with dmg/armourpierce, I don't think a smart choke is necessary for that one.
I like fast mobile characters and I rely mostly on my powers. I am worthless with krogans, turians and the destroyer. I love the shadow but I haven't brought her to gold yet. Got the Phalanx on her and most times I don't even use a single round. I think the paladin could be fun, he is mobile and can take some damage. I really like using biotics but its much better with a biotic teammate that will actually work with you.
I took the Graal out for the first time today. I was impressed with the damage... when I actually hit something <_<
I have never used the claymore, I will give it a shot. Thanks
I like the Graal, the Kishock is fun too! It's satisfying turning an atlas into a porcupine.
I'm glad you know about power combos! =) It's great fun when teammates cooperate to do those, and I usually try to take low weight to be able to do more of those!
The shadow you can use electric slash to detonate a tech burst on anything already electrified with a different electric power, or kill enemies on fire or frozen for a fire or cryo explosion, it's a bit tougher to pull off on gold, but practice makes perfect right? =)
The paladin is my favorite for fire/cryo explosions. Snap freeze and kill with incinerate or vice versa. You have an engineering kit IV, you can combine that with maybe a phaeston to help soften them before detonating. I die sometimes trying to do that, but that's mainly due to lack of cover or my own stupidity.

The Claymore does a lot of damage, but isn't friendly to powers due to it's high weight. I don't use it much anymore, but blasting people in the face is wonderful when I hit, and awful when I miss. =)
