Reload canceling is a way to abuse the game mechanics to reduce reload times.  Each reload animation starts with a pre-animation, then you hear the tell-tale *click* sound.  The gun is officially reloaded now, but the character has to go through a post-animation before you can fire.  This post-animation can be interrupted by performing an action, like running, taking cover, or rolling.

With a gun with a long reload time like the Claymore or Widow, you can increase your DPS significantly by consistently using reloading canceling.  Popular methods include using a medigel, which cancels the reload animation but doesn't use a gel because you're not down, and my personal favorite is using a grenade.  As soon as you toss the grenade you can fire.

Oh ok. I see. Thanks for explaining. I bet there's a bunch of stuff I don't know about MP. That's why I never used the Claymore because it took to long to reload.

Hang on a second... You're saying you can reload cancel on xbox?! I though that was just PC! So many missed opportunities... *facepalm*

Typhoon is great. but now sucks. Unless you play Silver/Gold. For Platinum players the gun has been ruined
and it was Awesome Gun

Typhoon is pretty great if you're using the maxed out Destroyer with a stabiliser. Altho I recently discovered the +25% ammunition evolution and now am just using the harrier. Yes, you have to stop at an ammo box about once a minute but you end up being top scorer in most games. You really are a turret with that thing. It stunlocks Pyro's so badly you can stand in their faces and finish them before they can flame you. Insane.

That's my hot tip of the day 

Also - @paleobones I saw you on xbox the other day but couldn't speak to you cos I still had my voice setting set on child settings. DURRRRRR. Just so you know, wasn't ignoring you!

 I don't like you guys anymore. I have every rare weapon at lvl 10, the vast majority of characters maxed, and I still can't get the Typhoon yet!

Lol don't worry I'm STILL waiting for a Piranha and the N7 Fury. Hell, I'm still waiting for my cerberus vanguard! All I'm getting is character cards for the ones I already have.

On the plus side though I have the best-dressed squad in the Galaxy... heh heh

its easier on PC becuase hitting the medigel key reload cancels on it. that doens't work for xbox. for xbox you need to use a power or animation (like run dodge melee etc)

Thanks for the compliment . It's pretty bad lately with all the smoke from forest fires in the air... can hardly see 4 blocks away in our town, and my voice is soooo scratchy. LOL

Sadly, no. It was a picture I found years ago to send to my now ex-girlfriend on valentine's day who decided she hated cute things 6 months in and chose to sleep around instead.

I just happened to come across it while cleaning out my photobucket.
