The only people on xbox I've played with recently (i.e. ~3 weeks ago) were megabeast and slimjim but there were no rubberbanding issues to speak of. Back in March, when I was purely a console scrub and very bad at this game, I also used to have some British friends who always hosted. Terrible latency, but not that much teleportation.

As far as I know, I've played with some random Russians, and it had horrible lag but not too much rubberbanding.

Some games are better on Xbox/console. Sports games like FIFA certainly are.

Yea the nostalgia is great, I used to play PC but I only do GC now.
I literally know everyone on GC servers, it's great.
It's the type of community that I can not login for a year and still have people remember me and say hi.
Everyone knows everyone on GC and on PSOBB it's a bit eh, the GMs are bit corrupt with server donations so I tend to avoid that nonsense.

It's still there to play on PC and if you wanted to setup consoles for it online.
I only used HUcast for pvp battle rule 6 and my main character was HUnewearl and RAcaseal.

OH PSO! I played that game SO much on Dreamcast. I loved it. Had lots of chars too, but my main and favorite was a HUmar

Do you guys know PSO2 might come to the west? Let's hope it does. PC only though.

If thats true, then Bioware can do something to fix this issue in PC. All versions of the game uses the same engine (similar netcode), so I expected there was lag in consoles too. Never played any game in consoles yet, ...would love too though.

PS: This is one of the most diverse threads in BSN[smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/grin.png[/smilie], Player portraits, Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, Age and Health, and Console VS PC. Not that I am comlaining :D

I think it has something to do with not letting you onto xbl if you don't go past a certain up/down speed. Could be wrong though.

I used to play FIFA on my PC with a game pad. I think with a decent gamepad, you can play it like a console. Too bad I threw and broke my gamepad when I missed a goal in FIFA

I dont think lag is a direct consequence of lower speed. Lag occurs when your packts has to go througha large number of intermediate points or ther is considarble distance b/w the systems.-I could be wrong- I have a friend who has a very good broadband conenction with great DL/UL speeds. but he has lag too. 

But liek you said, XBL might be checking your PING before letting you into the network.
