But can you play against your friends? Some of my best gaming memories is massive FIFA marathons at a mate's house, talking sh*t and getting drunk. Man I miss uniImage IPB

Hmm. that is a plus. But there were some older PC games which let you spli-screen with upto 4 player (I think the game was Moto cross). And I still play NFS 2 Split screen with friends just for fun.

I'm a PCgamer4lyfe (never owned a console) but splitscreen on PC is awful. Console is hella fun though. It kinda sucks how modern games never do this. Back in the good ol' days it was Goldeneye and Mario Party on N64, then FIFA and the shizz. Only thing that ever tempted me into getting into console gaming.

In Split screen, you will have to render things twice. Could be a bit impractical for high-end games running in a mid-range gaming PC

It's amazing how most of the gaming crap gets left at the door when we're kinda forced to just be human in a thread. I've certainly learnt a few things about fellow posters that will help me keep things in perspective next time I wish to throttle them. I can only hope the reverse is true.

Still gonna ask Santa for a 'Potion of Happyness' for Stardusk though. He's way too melancholy for a youngling.

Over 25% the predicted lifespan of where I live... kinda crappy to think of it like that.

Heh. It was a loaded question, and I didn't want to make the pun too obvious. (guess if that little TMFI tidbit is true, congratulations are in order)
