I think maybe we should ask Lt Adams and Link nicely if maybe they could make us a banner for 300 pages, and then we should each take a picture with a beer/vodka/palinka/mojito or whatever' as a way to celebrate. :wizard:

You all make studio ghibli sad. Combine the studio with Tatsumaki's response and you'll find the answer.

EDIT: I hope the soot sprites get you all :D

I'm fine with that, i'm not big on anime anyway.

Though i have seen Princess Monoke & Howl's Moving Castle. Another one from ghibli i think but i can't remember it's name - for anime they're not too shabby, i wouldn't mind watching more of their stuff.

Probably Spirited Away.^_^

I really like Howl too. Their films are so different to westernised films. The animation seems really simplistic compared to say Pixar, but a lot of the Ghibli films tackle quite dark or mature themes. It's just all a bit less happy-clappy than Disney.

I'd definitely prefer ghibli to Disney.

Unless that is, they manage to salvage the Star Wars series, then i might cut them some slack.

Maybe if someone goes back in time and kills George Lucas after the original trilogy... then there's hope...

I'm feeling extremely "meh" about the announcement of a seventh one

You and me both. I like some elements of the Clone Wars era stuff, but those elements are few and far between, It pretty much killed Star Wars for me. The only way i can get enthusiastic about Star Wars is to stick my fingers in my ears and go "la la la la last decade didn't happen".

Cept for Old Republic.

Actually, scratch that, they probably would have just made a mess of it :P

I'll go ahead and assume you mean the original comics....

You couldn't possibly mean the film that i dreamed about that never happened. The one with the Predator and woman running through the snow together?

First time I saw Alien 3 I didn't like it, simply because I was so angry at Newt and Hicks getting killed. Then I saw it again a few years later on TV having missed the first 20mins or so when you find out Newt and Hicks are dead, and actually the rest of the film is pretty darn good. Alien Resurrection was okay - the scene with Ripley finding her clones was very well done, but the New Born Alien/Human hybrid was terrible.

Everyone seems to be forgetting Prometheus though. Granted, it isn't a direct prequel, but it's related and is quite good.

Actually, I liked Alien 3, too. It had a nice claustrophic threat going on, like the first one. Plus, Charles S. Dutton and Pete Postlethwait.

Pete Postlethwait is awesome, i'll give you that. Especially in Sharpe. But i'm still not a fan of 3 or Resurrection. They needed more Hudson.

I saw Prometheus a few weeks ago for the first time. I know it didn't get amazing reviews, but i quite liked it.

Prometheus is veeeery good. Should get Johnny Walker in here, she loves that film.
