I saw Prometheus a few weeks ago for the first time. I know it didn't get amazing reviews, but i quite liked it.

I liked it...altho I need a piece of paper to write down the links between all the differnet kinds of creatures in the film. Also there were large parts where I had my eyes closed bcoz I'm not great with the gore. The biggest issue I had with Prometheus was that the crew were not very safety conscious for exploring dangerous alien ruins in a first contact with aliens scenario.

A freaky alive alien head?!? Let's bring it on board and poke it, whilst wearing thin scrubs that bacteria and other scary things can easily get through.

Hmm...I have a weird alien lifeform living in my eye...ho hum, I'm just going to ignore it.

Guys, there's something on the motion sensor that's not you! Oh never mind, i'm going off to bonk Charlize Theron.

Prometheus crew...Y u so dumb? 

Lots of the reasons i didn't enjoy it, Alot of it just didn't add up or make sense. Maybe i missed some details but why would the robot put an alien in the 1 guy? That was never explained. Why would the engineers want to wipe out humans w/o saying why (as the 1 girl pleaded with terrible acting) The whole movie was a big disappointment IMO

Well apparently it's the beginning of a new trilogy,  so that's why the ending was left so open. I would have personally preferred it to at least have resolved some of the questions, (cos it was really confusing!) but when I left the cinema everyone's faces looked like this:

Other than you should watch it. it's an awesome film with. Plus Harrison Ford + Edward James Olmos = win!

 
Sounds like a bit too much win. I really need to stop thinking about watching it and get around to actually watching it. *slapshimself*

I'd put RE : Retribution as one of the worst fims ever. It's terrible.

Well apparently it's the beginning of a new trilogy,  so that's why the ending was left so open. I would have personally preferred it to at least have resolved some of the questions, (cos it was really confusing!) but when I left the cinema everyone's faces looked like this:

And there are gonna be 2 more of these crap fests? which i'll probably still pay to watch becuase i liked the aliens movies from many years ago and i'm a geek, so i can be disappointed and comaplin about htem all over. Its a vicious cycle.

Reminds me of younger days watching mike tyson fight and eveyrone would complain that they arne't paying 50 bucks again to watch him knock someone out in 2 mins but every time he'd fight they'd all do it anyway only to complain when he knocked someone out in 2 mins.

the diagram explain a little i guess but didn't AVP tell us that aliens created humans as a way of using us to hatch new alien babies and we worshipped them like gods? now thats not true anymore? also on your diagram humanity has boobs :innocent:

RE: Retribution was god awful. I've hated every RE film, and the game series is one of my favorites. I'm still astounded how game movies never turn out right. I'm afraid for the Metal Gear Solid film I've heard they're planning. To clarify, I'm talking live-action, not animated.

I'd put RE : Retribution as one of the worst fims ever. It's terrible.

It all goes on expectations. a RE film isn't about storyline (they all suck and are stupid) its about watching the sexy milla jovovich run aorund in tight outfits for 90 minutes and seeing some good action scenes. I liked this one better then the last few personally. Action was good, 3D effects were good, and story was a little better then the last one.

Extinciton and apocolypse were the only 2 true good movies of the series.
The 1st one was a disappointment IMO and the 4th one was pretty bad minus the action and 3D effects.
They should have followed the game story wise and it would have been an awesome series.a real survival horror movie. Anyway

and for me the worst movie ever will always be the village... that or gigli

Oh & The Grey is def the worst film I've watched recently. Sooooooooo depressing & totally pointless. I went on twitter rampages after that one.

Nothing beats twilight when it comes to bad movies. Perhaps the second one is worse, but I refused to watch it after the first one offended my intelligence so badly.

And the DaVinci code... Although, it is significantly better than the book. Unreadable, that one.
