What's so funny is that they are making a fourth Transformers film! And Bay said it will be his final Transformers film.

Well, at least Mark Walhberg will be in it.

Speaking of bad movies, stay away from The Last Airbender MOVIE. I'm glad that I have never seen it to this day.

erm... how can you say its bad if you haven't seen it?

People have it in for Shyamalan, cause he makes movies that are different from what we are used to. And they are exceptionally good movies. Every one.

Well, my opinion is based on everything I've heard about the movie. And there are those who tell you not to see it if you haven't already.

I got many laughs out of this guy's review for it:

I watched the first 10 minutes of that, then went straight back and watched the entire series again.

Worst. Movie. Ever.

Wow. I'm really curious what you guys will say about the ME movie if it doesn't turn out EXACTLY the way you want it...

That's where I actually liked that movie, having never seen the series. To me, a movie must be good or crap on its own merits, not because it's based on some toy line, book/comic, TV series or is a sequel or prequel to some other movie.

Take Prometheus again. While I liked the symbolism it presented us with, it was a crap movie in a literal sense. Kinda like the endings of ME3. Also way too much viral marketing tied too integrally into understanding it. Therefore, not standing on its own merits again. I'm a huge fan of Ridley Scott, but I think he failed with Prometheus.

Come on now, The Village was crap.  Good actors was all it had going for it.  The plot was very predictable, and that's a huge nail in the coffin for something with a "twist" ending.  The Happening was also a crappy attempt at an enviornmental film.  I didn't see The Last Airbender or Lady in the Water.  I heard enough about those two to turn me off of them.

The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, and Signs were all good though.

Kyrene: its just the same topic of what is better, the movie or the book. And I agree with you that they should stand as separate entities and should be judged as such.

Anubis: When I was a kid, I was living in a country other than where I was born. I had a rough time settling in, so I watched tv. A lot of it. As a result, there are very few movies that actually surprise me, for example in The Sixth Sense I guessed about after about half and hour what the end will be. I am not kidding when I say that in most movies I can pretty well guess what will be said in the next few minutes and what the end will be. As such, I do not watch a movie for the thrill. I watch it for the symbolism and the message. Shyamalan has those. Few other mainstream directors have something to say beyond what a kindergarten kid would say. At least for me.

Other than that: I just got the harrier X and the black widow VIII.

So I went to have lunch with my grandparents just now, and I saw a place that said, I kid you not, "Paragon Optical Laboratories". Lol. Made me think of this:

"I"m Commander Shepard, and this is my favorite optical place on the Citadel."

And reminded me of this:
