I never once said that my guns save lives. They can, but yes not always. That's why I partake in martial arts. I believe in hope for the best and prepare for the worse. I also collect guns because I like them. Same as I like cars. I love working on cars. Thus one day I hope to collect and work on them.

It's a part of American culture that has always sickened me. You guys are gun crazy. You love your guns. No wonder there's a massacre every other day over there. For all the time you guys go bible thumping about JC, you sure don't act a lot like he did. Quite the opposite in fact.

So I tell one story about a time where I put my pistol to a guy that's 6'0" and 180lbs while I'm 5'8" 125lbs and I'm automatically deemed a gung ho and attentions seeking? Nice of you to know me, what I've been through, and my thoughts.

Either you're a really sour person or you just have something really harsh against me. I'm not sure where you pulled "attention seeking" out your ass. That has nothing to do with me defending myself. I was telling a mere story, don't read too much into it. If I said that my xbox got smashed then somebody would have asked thus I went ahead and said it.

I own a few guns, so what? Grow up in a neighborhood that's full of drug deals and drive bys. Then lets not see if you'd no martial arts and have weapons. But wait, don't answer that because you can't possibly come to that conclusion unless you've experienced it.

 

It comes across as attention seeking because of how you describe it. You don't describe things in such fashion unless you're fishing for approval/admiration, or writing an action novel. Pretty sure you weren't doing the second. That just leaves the first.

I have nothing against you, I do not hold grudges against people for things they say on the internet. Nor do I care that you own guns.

Your judgement is wrong. I was having a conversation with another. You know my friends have always asked me why am I so secretive. Well this is why, if I say anything then someone has to totally change the subject and comment on something that was so diminutive. People saying that I was attention seeking way back earlier has clouded your mind into thinking that everything I say is looking for attention.

And if you don't care that I own guns when why bring it up in the first place? You starting debates here and there is coming off like you're the one chasing attention.

 

I don't care that you own guns. I DO care that you use your experiences to fish for attention in cavalier fashion. It's a matter of principle. It trivialises all the struggles that other people go through (some of which are far worse than yours) and makes a mockery of them. 

As for suggesting that I am biased because "way back earlier" people accused you of attention seeking - I have barely read this thread until recently. I do not remember anyone previously accusing you of attention seeking. The fact that your posts come across that way is entirely due to how they appear in and of themselves. It has nothing to do with what you may or may not have posted in the past.

If you can't contribute something pleasant to this thread, then I would kindly ask you to leave until you can.

Well to be honest the callousness with which you mentioned the incindent I found rather disconcerting and the specific mentioning of what type/model/make of gun you picked seems a bit gung-ho. 
But perhaps that's a cultural thing.

I never said that I've had the worst life ever so I'm not sure where you got that conjecture.

I mean way back earlier when this thread first started going to sh*t. When attention seeking was first established.

Stupidity kills people. You can't remove guns because something happened. By the same reasoning you would have to live without knives (especially kitchen knives). You can't also arm everyone and hope this will stop the violence. Guns are designed to harm, no way around that. it's how you handle them that makes the difference.

I wouldn't trust myself in the hands of many I know. I've seen a lot of friends and acquaintances point airsoft guns at their face, walking around with the safety off and fingers on the triggers and what not. Doing this with a toy gun is dangerous enough, I can't fathom standing near such people if they had real guns.

He made it to 13, which is pretty good for a large dog. His hips gave out, couldn't walk, then it was all downhill from there. He was the best bad dog ever though!

No dogs after that? I had lots of cats. it alwasy saddened me deeply losing them, but that's life so I ended up getting another one even after I told myself never again.

My dog is small, so hopefully she'll last until late teens.  She is awesome. 

She's a bit neurotic though, and hates strangers.

Haha I love little dog Caesar complexes! Thunder did too. He would just sit there and let them act all big and crazy... while he yawned. I hope she lives long too Sirian. As long as she's in good respiratory health and you keep her safe from birds of prey, I think you guys will be good!
