Guys - i'm going to tell you your problem right now.   it's your state of mind.   we're so damn lucky as men because women's taste in men varies so much....
i honestly think - and i don't give a damn what you look like - that you are probably either (A) not putting yourself out there... or ( holding back and not showing interest so you give them the impression you're just being a friend.  if you try and move on that point then it's just startling.... but i get it - you don't want to come on too strong and make it come off awkward.
I dunno - i think i've just had good luck falling into relationships just where i meet someone and we hit it off.... but i can be kind of a passionate intense person, so i guess it kind of drives me....  but i'm not good at initiating things.   i'm 29, married with 2 kids -- i've had like... 4 girlfriends not counting my wife (because we were only dating 2 months before we got married.... 6 years ago almost)... and had brief... things.... with a half dozen or so other girls.... but i'm just absolutely terrible at seeing a girl, chatting her up, getting her number, asking her out, etc.  the few times i've tried it it's just gone terribly.
it's always been that i'll just meet someone through friends and we'll start talking, and hit it off -- maybe another time or two after that, then it just kinda happens.  (though one time ... at "Denny's" ... but that's another story for another time)
i think you guys might be holding back on those opportunities because you're afraid of making things awkward.... or you're just not getting out there and meeting people.
anyway - i wish you the best of luck and happiness.  don't stress, you'll meet someone someday - probably soon.

Lol no. As my other post said. I'm not very good looking. I live in a small town filled with little blondes and the like. They all like cheerleading and being snobs. They enjoy "Bad" boys who will beat them and yell at them. I'm the opposite of that, ugly and nice. Not hot and mean. Thus, I only get dirty looks from women when I approach them. And the all too familiar "Why the #%@ are you looking at me" Look, and the "You wish!" look. And how dare you try and speak to them.

Well there's your problem.  Small Town.  see it's not about being 'not good looking' ... it's about being different.  The smaller the community, the more homogeneous the society.  a straight laced businessman would get some real funny looks in a town full of hippies and artists.  
What are you doing in a small town you hate?  come to a bigger city.  heck, better yet - come out to one of the big cities on the coasts (i don't know if you're on the coast) the LA area is fantastic...  There's tons of people of all sorts.   you're 21 you said?  you got plenty of time.  GTFO of there, and make a life for yourself somewhere you're actually happy.
and 255 pounds? so what.  so am i.  granted i met my wife when i was about 200... but still.  there's a lot of chicks out there who dig big dudes.   you just gotta make it work for you.  i've seen plenty of super husky, broad guys with super hot women... 
The internet is great, i love it - great place to have straight up communication without all of the ... distancing of face to face social context.  But man, run run away!
there's better thigns out there!
Heck if you're ever out in the North Orange county area, track me down and i'll show you around....
I was lucky that the rave scene was having a hayday when i was 17-20 or so, because man it used to be such an open place.... a hedonistic crazy sleazy criminal place... but a hell of a good time. nobody cared how you dressed or what you looked like...  aw man, see now i'm getting all nostalgic for my younger days (not that i'm all that old now...)
Anyway i'll stop rambling.  Get out of the small town, find more likeminded people (there's tons of us out there... i say this because seriously, i get the feeling a lot of the people on this board have a LOT in common)... make a damn life for yourself.  start looking for work/jobs in bigger cities, get a job, and move move move.  Or make a friend on the interwebz who will help you get your foot in the door and make your transition out of hicksville (okay small town doesn't necessarily equate to hicksville but you get my point)
and don't be so damn down on yerself mang.
