MIRACLE ON PALAVEN
(If Kal'Reegar and/or the Quarians are gone in your playthrough, it wouldn't make a drastic change to the DLC)
Mission Start
After you complete the Cerberus attack on the citadel you receive a message via vid comm from the turian councilor. He informs you that he must speak to you and the Primarch. He connects in Primarch Victus. A scientific Quarian prodigy on Palaven when the reapers hit. A Quarian team was coming to get the the quarian when the Reapers attacked Palaven. The Primarch tells you that the turian hierarchy seized control of major components from Sovereign for study and they may be able to help with the crucible and upgrade ship weapons and asked the quarian team to help secure the area but contact has been lost with the team.

Palaven- Military Base
You land on Palaven and meet with the local turian military base. You locate the General in charge of the base. He updates you on the situation. He informs you that one of the quarians from the squad was found a week ago. He has survived his injuries and his suit has been repaired. He’s in the base’s war room while a reinforcements arrive. As you walk to the war room there is a perimeter breach and reaper forces are nearing the base. You fight them off and find Kal’Reegar with the turian troops. He tells you of what happened to him and offers to show you where they were going before he had to get help. The troops he had with him were all killed and he was badly injured. He joins your squad as a temp squadmate and joins you for the mission.

Palaven- Reaper Territory
You leave the Turian military base on foot along with Kal’Reegar and another squadmate of your choice while the troops at the turian base will provide air support. You fight your way through reapers and reach the destroyed quarian ship in which Kal’Reegar explains was badly damaged when the Reapers attacked and crash landed. A few of his marines died but some continued down the path to along with the scientific Quarian prodigy to find the research facility. Reegar tells you the other team was heading south toward Cipritine, the capital of Palaven. You head down the path and reach the city. And he must go to repair and protect a critical communications tower used for relaying critical mission information back to the Hierarchy.
Palaven- Cipritine
You see Cipritine, the Turian capital, turned into a ruin. The general from the Turian military base gets on your radio and informs you the air assault has lost a lot of ships and cannot cover you much farther. He informs you that the base has contacted a quarian who got to the research center. He patches you through to him, his name is Aren'Xen, he tells you that the marines that were with him are dead and he barely made it to the station. He tells you how to find the station and you fight your way through Cipritine to find him. You also meet another Turian Spectre name Caldus Corvax helping the fight and he joins as an NPC to accompany you to the Research Facility.

Palaven- Research Facility & Communications Tower
You fight your way through the to the station. Aren informs you he is with the reaper tech the turians were studying on the lowest level. You push your way to the lower rooms. When you get there Aren tells you that he has been reviewing all of the research that the turians had and they may have found something that could help with the crucible project. You call for reinforcements to come and get this tech out of here. Minutes later you hear that Kal'Reegar's team begins to get over-run by Reaper forces at the Communications Tower, there your given the option to save Kal'Reegar and the Tower or let hm and his team die as a sacrifice.

Aftermath
The Turian Councilor thanks you for the help and informs you all the research and sovereign’s remains have been sent to help with the crucible and upgrading ship weapons. The turian councilor then offer’s Kal’Reegar to become a Spectre for his part in taking back Cipritine. The Migrant Fleet has been informed of what has happened to the other quarian marines and the offer for Kal’Reegar to join the spectres. Kal’Reegar offers to stay and aid the turians until the time comes for retaking earth.

If Kal’Reegar was killed in ME2 then Veetor takes his place for the beginning of the mission but will not accompany your squad throughout the mission.
