I'm running an Intel QX Quadcore 2 9650 Extreme with 8 Gigs of Kingston HyperX DDR2 @ 1066 and a new ASUS GTX 570 DC II......Lately I"ve been re-playing Dragon Age II and I'm just now getting into the Legacy DLC Im in the early stages....and it's got MASSIVE frame rate issues! Like the response time between pushing a button and seeing the action on-screen is nearly 12 seconds! It's unbelieveably slow. I thought it might be because of a virus scan or other process running in the background and taking up memory, but that's not the case. I've closed down everything that I can and still it's running at a snail's pace.
Has anyone else had this problem? I"ve got patch 1.04 and up until now it has been running excellently.....I've had no problems of any kind whatsoever.
Help please!

How did you manage to download it?
I've tried all day to get it and Mark of the Assassin and get NSIS errors every time I download it.

I paid for it with my credit card and then found it in My Games > Registered Game Content. But I guess to answer your question, I downloaded them both when they were originally released. But do you have any suggestions as to how to solve my OP ?
I did have everything absolutely maxed-out and it was running beautifully. No problems of any kind. But then with this content, the only fix I've found is that I've had to bump down the graphics. Though I would really perfer not to have had to do that, it seems to have worked. If anyone else has other suggestions that would allow me to go back to my original graphics settings where everything is maxed-out please let me know

Has there been any news on the DLC for Legacy and Mark of the Assassin? I bought both and have been unable to install them. I keep getting a message saying they are unsafe with delete as my only option.
I would really like to have them, but if there isn't a fix, I would like my money back.

I'm sorry, but I don't know the answer to your question. My best advice is send a private message to one of the Moderators, maybe they can ask one of the Devs and get back to you. I'm sorry to hear about your situation though, that's a drag and if it happened to me, I'd want a refund too. But ask a Moderator first what your next step should be.

I had the same problem, when i set it back to DX9 it works ok again. DA2 i could play at max settings DX11. tech support didn't know a solution either. I also had alot of crashes in MotA when running DX11 also setting this to DX9 solved most problems.
Updated drivers and such which didn't help a thing or made worse.
System:
2x Intel Xeon X5450 (2 x 4 cores @ 3ghz)
16gb ram
Radeon 5870 x2 (not crossfire) only to attach more screens.
And "tech support" gave me some BS about xeons not being ment to play games... ME 1/2/3 and DA:O run just fine, DA2 runs fine also except for MotA. Legacy had no problems.

[Edit] Oops, just saw that SiIencE gave the same solution I did: switch from DX10/DX11 to DX9 mode. Strange that the same problem happened with an ATI card, since, based on Google searching, it seems like NVidia cards are the ones with the biggest framerate issues in DAII.

I also have gc problems after instaling Legacy. I had to patch game up to 1.4, on my first run I played with original version and no DLCs, and it worked fine. Now I can not even start, because intro movie with Varric makes screen go green, textures fall apart and crash my videodriver. I got latest avalible - 301.42, laptop with Nvidia Gef 9600M GT 512mb, I know it's not top PC, but I could play just fine before, and I have no issues with other games or films.
edit: DX9 mode worked just fine!
edit2: DX9 limits textures with medium setting. Which is bad. I tried to set back DX11 within game itself - did not play much. but during about 30 mins I did not have any crashes. DX11 FPS is much lower though..
