But say what something absoulty is something when it's open to interpertation is still a faulty statement. Add more"I think this means" to you definition to meaning of scenes. (Yes I saw that you did it after, but i still want to give you a hard time about it.)Taboo-XX wrote...

Then you agree with me that what the prayer is about is open to interpertation. What it means to you doesn't mean what the creator intended for it.
This is the point of art...
To interpretate...
****ing A dude.

Thane is afraid to die. If you're afraid of something, you tend to want to avoid it. So like, not-dying. Which means living.
If you want to interpret just a weeeeeeee little bit, you might think that he wants to live to be with Shepard, and for the sake of Kolyat.
If you want to interpret just a tad bit more, you might think he wants to live to help with the fight to save untold billions of lives across the galaxy.
But of course, that's just space magic, right?
This says you're off.
wtf you talking about? That makes no sense in correlation to my statement.

what does that have to do with curing Thane if FemShep romanced him?

What I and many of the fans have a problem with is that you have characters like Liara, whom I don't personally like too much, constantly coming up to Shepard's room just to chat. It seems so pointless, but it's there and I'm sure such a little, pointless thing makes the Liara fans happy.
But I wonder why can't there be optional scenes to just chat with Thane about things other than his sickness and deterioration. He could talk about some more philosophical things that'll help Shepard through things. If a romance, romantic things. Why can't he and the VS become hospital buddies and we see them in that hospital room, or the waiting room, chatting like how the characters on the Normandy move around to communicate with each other. Why don't we see him interacting with his son other than his death scene.
Why does Thane have no life all of the sudden? Didn't Shepard encourage Thane to get out, make friends, communicate with his son, and in the case of Female Shepard, potentially start a romantic relationship?
All Thane is there for is death. Death is not a life. Death is the opposite to life. Death does no suffice for a story. Thane cares for nothing in ME3 but death and apathy is death. *waves Kreia flag*
Just because he's smiling a lot in ME3, doesn't mean his return to apathy for everything is all okay.
I know his name is related to the greek God of death, Thanatos, but I had always associated it with the fact he's an assassin and kills people. I know Freud came up with a death drive theory named after that greek God, but that theory involved people who lose all hope and desire for life. The counter to the death drive is the pleasure drive, aka reason to live like family, friends, and love (or in the cause of Freud, sex). So basically, Thane was under death drive before Shepard came along and if Shepard fixes things with his son, Thane should no longer be under the death drive sort of thinking.

1. There is something to contradict you point. But you back traked to a nutral stance not to explore it.
Go find this mystery argument-refuter then.
2.Earilier I said that she is a person who is focused on the mission at hand...So you agree with this now?
Do you see how it's not a contradiction to her overanylizing her self but being cut with the missions on hand?
Added, she had this skill before cerberus and she has this skill with out them but why does she have this skill?
It's because of her father...Her
professional side links to her hate of her father....That's not a center part of her character, it's a tait.
I don't need to tell you how nonsensical this is, do I? Do you have any idea what syntax and sentence structure are?

Most people who decide to romance Thane, finish the romance out, and those that don't are doing it for very specific RP purposes...and guess what; that is what makes "options" so great! Then you can "choose" to have a messed up romance, a bittersweet romance, an angst filled romance, or a true loving romance......gotta love choices, eh? Me (and others) wanting choices doesn't negate what was already given, and if choices are what we had in the very beginning, we wouldn't be having this "discussion". And BW left windows open so they could choose such a thing. Thanemancers (or friends of Thane for that matter) wishing that there was something different (or even hoping that an option might be added) doesn't change anything for you...literally and figuratively. What we got, is what we got. And if, by some strange, wonderful twist of fate, got more content to add such an option in, this still wouldn't change what you got, or what you want.
And no, this isn't space magic or miracle cure. Shepard has been intervening in many galactic races since the beginning of ME1 (often at the behest of one of his squadmates), so helping to save a race (for example, the Drell race who suffers primarily from.....KEPRAL'S) and helping their host race the Hanar, is not outside the realm of what Shepard does. Throw in the "in game" references (which I am sure you have examined thanks to some other posters), and this is more than apt to be a possibility....and one that I admit I fully expected when they were getting ready to release me3. (Silly, silly me.)
