 So.....apparently this class constitutes an insta-kick on gold now, no matter the weapons/gear/N7 rank/whatever.

I'm on Xbox an i've been kicked 10 times in a row trying to play a game with this class, i'm running a Piranha X. Been kicked from my own hosted lobbies 3 times, and even been kicked from FBWGG games.....

Think of it like this, if they were dumb enough to insta-kick (and this goes for any class, you know who you are) do you really wanna play a whole Gold game with them?

It seems that the Xbox-community is pretty rotten, at least compared to the PC player base. Many of the topics that peopel bring up, i have never seen or encountered on PC.

10 games in a row is a bit extreem I'll grant you that. I'd expect a few ignorant groops who need Reegars, Krysaes, and Typhoons just for a shot at extraction cause they have no other skill than picking the right weapons, to not understand what value the Paladin can be. But 10 games? That's just ignorance on a religious scale.

Paladin sucks badly at pretty much everything compared to the other classes.

The Salarian gets a Decoy that doesn't actually hurt the user...

All the other N7 classes are much, much, MUCH better in almost every aspect.

I usually lead scorer on FBWGG. I snap freeze thru the wall. If it's all biotics they were prob waiting for an SE

Actually....most of them were lower than N7 120 and they were using low level rare's and uncommons.....

as i said.....firebase white geth gold, its easymode you can bash through that with any class/setup if you've played for any relevant amount of time

i was just wanting fun with a little bit of challenge.....so i didnt want to do silver

They probably didn't think you'd be capable of matching their godly DPS with your lowly shield character and you'd drag down their sweet farming time.

That said, I'd love to play with a good Paladin.

I was playing with someone on my freinds list earlier tonight that was bragging on how good the Paladin was and how anyone that didn't like it were noobs and I spent 3 gold games being his personal Rez Medic with my Shadow. Thank god she's fast as hell.

Soooo.... Based on that, I could see why peeps wouldn't want to play with Paladins, lol. Messed up they'd kick you out of your own lobby though, jeeze, just leave if you don't want to play with the host.

Any class can be horrible in the right hands. The last game I played had a KroGuard who went down more than anyone else and maybe charged twice the entire time, and a Shadow with two heavy weapons because really, who needs cooldowns on a sneaky class?

I really need better people to play with. These PUGs are killing me.

I'd say a small fraction of Paladins who think they're immortal tanks are giving the other enthusiasts a bad name.
I've also been told that I shouldn't show off my new characters when switching from my Slayer from a previous match, to my Paladin in the same lobby...and then I was kicked. (Day of Earth DLC release-hasn't happened since that one time)

You know, based on the things I've read on these forums about their community, I'm actually glad my Xbox 360 died years ago and that I was too mad at Microsoft to buy another one.
(mad at Microsoft for selling me a crappy product that died just outside the warranty time limit, and no, it wasn't the "red ring of death)

I regularly get 1st or 2nd place using my Paladin in Firebase White on Gold. Even got 2nd place in Platinum on my first try ever in Platinum.

The Paladin is beastly when you use it right, especially on that map since it's tightly confined when indoors, which is where the class shines. It's not the best class ever, but it's certainly not awful like people claim. They're just so fixated on the omni-shield not being the awesome defense they wanted it to be, and ignore the awesome Snap Freeze + Energy Drain + Melee potential of the class.

I've been kicked with every class. Usually the ones who insta-kick aren't that great anyway, and the really good players think, "Eh, we can probably hold our own if he sucks."

Meh, I dont usually discriminate based on N7 TBH, was just pointing out that they were using phaeston II's and such as well as being sub-120N7, kicking me from the match with level X rares decent gear etc.

for me being 120+ in N7 is the good zone, if you are below that stay in bronze.

also XBOX is terrible because of the fact the playerbase also is heavy on several of the most horrible playerbasees in multiplayer existance.

Halo, COD, Battlefield, Gears of War. these games have a breed of stupidity on the XBOX all their own. PS3 doesnt get halo or GOW and PC is so widespread that you are unlikley to ever meet anyone other than similar intrests. but on XBOX you will run into the same groups over and over again, just because of how often XBL is used just for the multiplayer in those games alone.
 
i call it... the XBL shooter stupid crowd, and ME3MP is just close enough to a shooter to have attracted them...
