Just finished a 3 hour session on xbox. Had a Paladin in a handful of my groups and we did great. You would have been welcome in any lobby I was hosting.

I don't play ME multiplayer much but did when the new DLC came out and got N7 Paladin which I wanted cause of the shield...was kinda upset when i couldn't move with it tho -_- but I played through it on bronze because like I said I don't play often so I don't have the right weapons for it (or anything else) to be on anything higher and I've gotten the highest score in all the games I played with it.

The thing is I literally have to run into groups of normal troopers like cannibals to freeze them and bash them with my shield.. this is extremely fun but I get how that would be bad for gold I guess

I regularly get 1st or 2nd place using my Paladin in Firebase White on Gold. Even got 2nd place in Platinum on my first try ever in Platinum.

The Paladin is beastly when you use it right, especially on that map since it's tightly confined when indoors, which is where the class shines. It's not the best class ever, but it's certainly not awful like people claim. They're just so fixated on the omni-shield not being the awesome defense they wanted it to be, and ignore the awesome Snap Freeze + Energy Drain + Melee potential of the class.

The question is though.....ice shield or fire shield :P

Cryo Shield. Freezing weaker enemies puts them temporarily out of the fight, so I can turn on another enemy in safety. Also the extra debuff makes follow-up attacks more devastating. Sometimes I'll even sneak up on a boss and hit them in the back with my shield, just to put that 50% Damage debuff on them to help my teammates out.

for me being 120+ in N7 is the good zone, if you are below that stay in bronze.

also XBOX is terrible because of the fact the playerbase also is heavy on several of the most horrible playerbasees in multiplayer existance.

Halo, COD, Battlefield, Gears of War. these games have a breed of stupidity on the XBOX all their own. PS3 doesnt get halo or GOW and PC is so widespread that you are unlikley to ever meet anyone other than similar intrests. but on XBOX you will run into the same groups over and over again, just because of how often XBL is used just for the multiplayer in those games alone.

i call it... the XBL shooter stupid crowd, and ME3MP is just close enough to a shooter to have attracted them...

This is true, sadly i dont have enough $$$ to join the PC master-race yet lol

I wouldn't take it personally, there are a lot of stupid players on Live.

Though, with that said it works both ways. While there are a lot of stupid players who don't understand the paladin's worth to a team, there are probably just as many who play paladins who have no earthly idea how. I hate to admit it, but when I see a paladin player in a lobby my first thought is I'm going to be carrying a loon who sits back with his shield deployed, and when he's not doing that he's going to be spamming snap freeze well out of its actual range. I've seen maybe one or two people play a paladin decently, out of a few dozen people playing paladins in total.

So.....apparently this class constitutes an insta-kick on gold now, no matter the weapons/gear/N7 rank/whatever.

I'm on Xbox an i've been kicked 10 times in a row trying to play a game with this class, i'm running a Piranha X. Been kicked from my own hosted lobbies 3 times, and even been kicked from FBWGG games.....

Strange, I've run the same setup on Xbox and been in quite a few Gold matches today.

Losers don't know what they're missing out on.

personally i love Paladin.

the free defense to recharge your shields, Energy Drain, Snap Freeze or Incinerate, its the perfect tanking class if used right, which lets it get really up close and personal in gold+

i just wish it could block insta-kills, tho watching banshees try to teleport past it is kind of funny.

it reminds me alot of Human Soldiers, one of the best classes to those who can use it well.

I don't kick unlesss you are a huge jerk. And having a Paliden in the team can be fun. I took advantage of my friend whowas using one. I stood behind him with my new soldier(destroyer or whatever?) and unloaded my harrier. If he went down I'd revive my shied....er teammate and go right back to firing. If an enemy comes up to his shield, I'd do my hulk stomp and keep devastating. It worked great for me. LOLLOLOL

Btw I am on xbox as well. Gt is in siggy.

Yea instead PS3's community includes millions of bums that eat corn chips and breath heavy through the mic all day, while simultaneously being bad at the game.

Halo, COD, Battlefield, and Gears community is no worst than ME3's community. Gears is arguably one of the best shooter communities(hell best gaming community). A little elitist but whatever.

Just like every community in existance they have their share of loud idiots...Just like mass effect.

I've played with god-awful squadmates and brilliant squadmates, with no correlation with class/rank.

I tend to be ready to start the game once we have 3 players, because the 4th will normally join up by round 3

Paladin is an awesome class and rocks on Gold, glad I am a proud member of the Glorious PC Gaming Master Race, every anecdote you guys bring here shows XBox like a tenebrous place.

The anti-360 sentiment is ludicrous. While it's true (and somewhat obvious) that those doing multiplayer on the PC are going to tend to be an older, hopefully more mature crowd, the issue with the 360 isn't that it's full of jerks...it's that it's full. More players available will often end in frustration, especially with pick-up groups because the better, more mature players will fill their lobbies with people they've already met and played with.

I love Paladins. They are great Tech Combo buddies. The one day I was running around with one on my Human Engineer and we were tearing s**t up.

I was playing with someone on my freinds list earlier tonight that was bragging on how good the Paladin was and how anyone that didn't like it were noobs and I spent 3 gold games being his personal Rez Medic with my Shadow. Thank god she's fast as hell.

Soooo.... Based on that, I could see why peeps wouldn't want to play with Paladins, lol. Messed up they'd kick you out of your own lobby though, jeeze, just leave if you don't want to play with the host.

Any class can be horrible in the right hands. The last game I played had a KroGuard who went down more than anyone else and maybe charged twice the entire time, and a Shadow with two heavy weapons because really, who needs cooldowns on a sneaky class?

I really need better people to play with. These PUGs are killing me.

Aww. There's plenty of peeps here I'm sure wouldn't mind playing with you. Here I'll get you started:

XBox Gamertag: TeamLexana (same as screename here)

I'd lolwut kick a Shadow with two heavy weapons on gold myself, but I'm mean like that, haha. But not if they were host of course, I'd just leave.

Just got back from eating and sent a friend request.

I tend not to kick people as I mentioned, especially because I like seeing just how bad people are. If I see a Justicar rocking a Javelin and a Claymore, I want to see just how bad things get. Bonus points if their mic is on and they complain about how bad the class is. >_>

I kick them too. Especially if they don't have mics.

Paladin sucks badly at pretty much everything compared to the other classes.

The Salarian gets a Decoy that doesn't actually hurt the user...

All the other N7 classes are much, much, MUCH better in almost every aspect.

If I ever run into a game with you, please, remind me not to drop my shield in front of you to save you from geth rocket spam/banshee warp/prime shots. The Paladin does not suck, as the Paladin is as good as the team he is paired with. If you have proper communication, the Paladin is probably the best player on the field, since he can block chokepoints and have his team sit behind him mowing down the enemies that can't get past the shield.

I like to play the kicking game with two other friends. After 100 kicks you gain 1000 experience! Kicking noobs is a favorite pastime for me.

Step 1: click onto the gamertag hit submit review then move over to where it has the reason why and pick one.

Step 2: if you are kicked before you had the opportunity to click onto their name. Go to friends list and scroll down your list until you see gamer tags of people you do not know click onto that name a submit a " player review"

Result: you will not have to worry about ever being in a match with them again. Plus it will hit them on their REP which in time, they will start to lose their stars below their gamertag. Not a big deal to some however, when other gamers look at their low star count a red flag will come up and most likley they will start getting kicked from games and not just Mass Effect.

The fact that they were using low lvl gear probably explains that to you: they were less experienced player.

On a side note, I've been kicked from gold games for no reasons from time to time.
One time I got kicked. With a N7 Destroyer. With Saber X and Piranha X.
Also being N7 270 doesn't help either lol, but most people are just like "I have better N7 rating than you therefore I'm better at the game."

LOL @ at getting kicked from your own hosted lobbies. class has absolutely nothing to do with luck that terrible bro. You've simply developed a knack for being at the wrong place at the wrong time.
