class and rank shouldn't matter at all, your loadout is the thing I look for before a match, you can be caster with -200% recharge speed if you want, if you can handle it and hold your own. Otherwise you get boot print up your arse after the match.

But I guess some people are lost cause, don't worry yourself with them.

Equating a bit of console bias to hardcore racisim isn't winning you any points or friends.  And your post isn't helping your 'xbox people aren't jerks' theory either, since you're being kind of a jerk.  If you really feel like you're being persecuted based on your choice of console, I suggest you go volunteer at a youth or gay hotline to get some perspective on what real persecution is.

The people that play exclusively on PC don't know how playing on the xbox really is, so all the bad things they hear are the only thing that sticks in their minds. And you know why that is? Because that makes them feel superior.

Wait one second. That sounds like you're making discriminating, sweeping statements about PC players for making discriminating, sweeping statements about Xbox players. Why would that be?

Not to mention that bringing up RL issues of discrimination to a discussion about games is totally classy as well. Not quite the same caliber, I'd say.

Allright, maybe using racism as an example was a bit too extreme. But I'm just a bit upset, because this is being brought up in so many threads lately.

Thread about missile glitch? "Pc is better!" Thread about rude players? "Don't have them on Pc!" Thread about being kicked for using a class? "Doesn't happen on Pc!"

I play in both pc and console, and the notion of seeing players of either as foreign people with strange behaviours is something I simply cannot understand. Yet they bring it up. Again. And again. And I'm just tired.

Paladin is great on Gold... now on Platinum that's a different story

This class isn't too bad, but it could have been better. I usually only use it on Silver, or the occasional Bronze match. It's pretty fun to beat the hell out of everything with the Shield, and toss troopers away with each swing.

But, I can't say that I agree with insta-kicking anyone for using the Paladin. It can be a solid class in the right hands. I would only kick based on the level of the character, and the levels of the player's gear and weapons (assuming that they aren't appropriate for the difficulty level).

Paladin is freakin' awesome and totally Gold viable.

One on one this thing CAN be an Anti-phantom. Doesn't do well at handling them in large groups but that's what the Destroyer is for. The Destroyer and the Paladin synergize really well with each other. I play one and had someone whine to me not to bother with the shield because it was bugged...

I then proceeded to Tank 2 Ravagers proving him wrong.

I believe it gets a lot of hate just because it's not very offensive oriented. Everyone who plays it offensively says to fore-go the shield. That's your choice but I prefer to play a little more defensively and unless I'm completely surrounded I tend to resist dying at all. People also like to hide behind me which is something I am completely okay with.

After all I'm your shield wall. The shield is up for a reason.

Halo, COD, Battlefield, Gears of War. these games have a breed of stupidity on the XBOX all their own. PS3 doesnt get halo or GOW and PC is so widespread that you are unlikley to ever meet anyone other than similar intrests. but on XBOX you will run into the same groups over and over again, just because of how often XBL is used just for the multiplayer in those games alone.
 
i call it... the XBL shooter stupid crowd, and ME3MP is just close enough to a shooter to have attracted them...

So you play on Xbox? I love how everyone gets on their elite horse and it's all about how the Xbox guys suck and are so stupid. Maybe the low N7 guys didn't want a guy with UR X's in their game? I don't encounter all these horrible console guys that kick for no reason. COD is a whole other beast because any PvP environment is going to breed ugly competitors.

You're...you're joking right? I've been using the Paladin since I unlocked him, I usually rank first on every Silver I've been in and ROCK Gold in general. Flash Freeze and the Pirahna synergize so well, plus Energy Drain to restore shields and stun. The only thing's that have given me grief are instant kill attacks. The Omin-Shield can block mostly everything and makes you a great bait character as well. With it I can easily solo most of the boss types on my own with little trouble.

New found love for the paladin, only problem I have with him is his ability to take down bosses. I think some of his skills may be bugged, that or the weapon mods. Was using Snap Freeze for debuffs and duration with my brand new handy dandy hurricane I with a Heat Sink V and a High Velocity Barrel V and it was pathetic how little damage I was doing. I mean an entire magazine for a bar of armor x.x this is on gold by the way, and I was running the Expert Package V but no consumables. Seems as if A. Snap Freeze debuffs are bugged or HVB is bugged as its suppose to negate something like 90% of armor resistance.

Edit: in my dumbfoundedness I forgot to mention this was against an Atlas, sorry

Yeah, I've been kicked a few times as my Paladin. Which is kinda retarded, since even when I play defensively, I still get in close with the freezing, finish with the Reegar X, and no one in any of those games beat me on the scoreboard. The Paladin can hold enemies off, of course, but skilled players will utilize his tools and mow through with ease.

Seems to me that the Reegar X is a perfect Paladin weapon.

though getting kicked sounds a bit extreme, i just have to agree that paladin class is built around a concept that is simply too limited in usage.

a h-melee shield wall that is purely defensive yet can't even stop phantoms from insta-stabbing you - it's just not a very good design for a game where higher difficulty absolutely favors firepower over all else.

Paladin fits my playstyle more than almost all the N7 classes (Except the Destroyer). I get killed all the time, and can't kill too many people with the Shadow (Get a TON of objective caps and revives, though) I just can't figure out the Slayer, never been much of a nade spammer, Fury is VERY good, but I'm not much of a full-caster kind of player.

Paladin is not as bad as people make it out to be, just don't try to overuse the shield: its very situational

Maybe its the player and not the community? It could be something you're doing to draw the ire of others. COD is like any other competitive event. There is trash talking in anything that is you vs me. If we are playing MW3 you better believe that you're gonna hear it if you do something cheap like camping behind a door.

The Paladin is an Engineer caster class, not a sturdy Sentinel. Energy Drain is fantastic. And Snap Freeze is VERY useful(it goes through walls for crap's sake).

Exactly. I play Paladin on Gold and it's awesome with the right team. And yes, Snap Freeze is an absolute beast for speed-running/credit grinding.

I'm gonna be honest all the Paladins we play with suck. We played with one today and not only did he go down a lot, he never used consumables.

Kicked him as soon as we failed.
