Nothing is more fun than a PD, PD, BC, PD, Shot to the face and BC OR heavy melee for those that are more capable and ENJOY cutting off the head of a Phantom.

Edit: and the heavy melee doesnt work on a regular basis, that is rather enraging considering ill follow nemesis around for about 2 minutes trying to heavy melee them

No, maybe more visceral but not effective, have yet to go 90k plus like I was before, and thats thanks to mainly glitches and bull**** sync kills
Well, I never dip below second in points. I seem to be able to bail my team mates out when they get in trouble. I can CC and DPS like not other class; the only one that comes close is the Phoenix Vanguard (also boss). I can teleport through walls, that comes in handy.
I guess if you're use to playing a Drell Style game, the Slayer rules (same with the Fury if you build for speed).
But to each their own. The most boring class I've mastered is the AA. Now there's a class with a fairly stale rotation. The SE and GE are a very close second to the most boring class.

Actually I have literally never used a single drell, I used to play this class like a smash guard but now im trying the melee setup and not liking it
That doesn't compute.... You havnt played a drell adept once??!?!???!!!???!? You seriously do need to play that class, it wrecks **** if you can use it.
Anyway, basically he means cause damage and then dodge. Hit and run pretty much. Though I'm pretty sure slayer doesn't get the dr when he dodges like the drell do.

Edit: Idk, Ik i should try drell but they seem to squishy, and for the matter of never playing drell ive never even played as a salarian either

It does sometimes, but I get hit while dodging alot, when I shouldnt be able to get hit
I never seem to any DR. In fact I seem to get the opposite when I teleport dodge (fire and slayer) and enemies feel like they hit harder. I just hate the dodge, if it had any or a consistent dr then id dodge more.

I think the reason they added this penalty is because of the shield boost from a biotic charge.

@ drummer, I want the paladin the most out of all of them, I like being a tank
Well you will probably be disappointed, almost everything other than basic weapons goes right through the shield. Especially when off host.
Krogans and the Destroyer are better tanks honestly.
I've taken raveger shots with the shield it can stop anything except for the reapers melee.

The class is bad and whoever designed it should feel bad. Seriously, it's the worst vanguard, even worse than the drellguard.
Just because you are unable to use this class well doesn't mean it was designed poorly. I've played all N7 classes and agree the Slayer has the steepest learning curve and even then, you're walking the edge. However, I can hang with a typhoon Destroyer in damaged delt.
I think the problem is players thinking that this class is the Phoenix Vanguard, it isn't.
If you like usin the Drell, you will be more comfortable with the slayer.

I just don't see that with him, and I can play him pretty effectively. Definitely the worst of the N7 classes in terms of actual effectiveness, even if he is an absolute blast to play.

My first and currently only n7 character (which I have recieved twice) is making me want to stop playing. My games consist of spamming biotic slash at close range and spamming phase disrupter at longrange. The class doesnt even need a weapon and I constantly go 70k plus in silver lobbies 90k plus in gold. Please fix this broken class bioware and make it at least fun to play?
Phaseguards all the way, I even get Rank 4 and 5 melee with Rank 6 health/shield. Damn thing is a powerhouse when used correctly. And that dodging warp/teleport? **** I love the thing on my Fury and it's just as awesome on the Slayer. If you think it's boring, you aren't using the char correctly.

Didn't you just refute your own statement? If he has the steepest learning curve, shouldn't his top end potential bE absolutely monstrous?

I top out in points and medal revives. Clear crowds and rip shields off bosses. Anialte hunters and rocket troopers. Make phantoms dead quick. I have more death range with this class than I do with the Destroyer.
I don't agree with your assessment from a point of personal experience.

Lol I can play him just fine moron, in fact you can dominate with any class if you use good weapons and know how to play . That doesn't make the slayer any less bad or not one of the worst vanguards.
''Hurr durr you don't know how to play him he is good in the right hands'' is probably one of the stupidest arguments being thrown around here and that's saying a lot.

Well, that's nice calling someone moron if you behaving like one.
Not true - you don't need good weapons to dominate. You can dominate with avenger just like I can dominate with carnifex.
It depends how you play it. You can shoot or spam powers. You just should be comfortable playing that class.
If you don't like it - don't use it.

Now, I have my share of lulz with a coat of pink paint on him, shouting "Power BladeRUUU" spamming his pseudo-biotictillery, befitting his rank of Pink Power Ranger and long lost brother of Kai Leng.

It is balanced enough I saw a player today who was spamming biotic slash, not realising that it's effective from cover, but a really really bad idea out in the open in a kill zone.

Interesting, so a class with 3 abilities and a powerful teleporting melee and teleport dodge, capable of using weapons as well (omg!), and you find it boring when you only use 2 of those attacks over and over? How strange and unexpected...90k on Gold is okay, but you can do even better, and perhaps actually have fun, if you actually use the FULL potential of the class.
i used the full potential of the class and did 120k + on gold... with ease... im betting i still didnt use the full effect... dont like sucking up all the kills... leaves friendlies on my friends list bored and a bit angry...
Hi,
can you tell me , what is your spec please? Now I am trying to make Vanguard for BC and light attacks.Seems like risky fun to me.
Also for Dismember (fan of thrash metal band?). If you use ability which is boring to you, why do not you use another one? It is easy to spam Slashes like mad, but nobody force you to do. Seems more like a problem of worrying about getting killed, when using another risky but fun ability.
Also if you think that 90k on gold is too much, and class is "broken, which for me definitively is not the case here, how about another ones which scores 150k +?
For me, vanguard is good. If you do not like Slash, do not use it. If you do not like Distruptor, do not use it. And use only teleporting and melees. But in that case, why will not you choose totally different class then.
