What it does:
- replaces default fem Shepard's face textures with a fresh skin pack that is slightly aged, and without makeup
- provides the option of a scarred default female Shepard (picture in gallery)

* requires Texmod, instructions as to how are included on the project site.
** My thanks to carine for sharing her endgame save.

Very nice job, damn pretty one she is under that face paint :D

As for the scars however, I'm sure people love this, but I kinda don't like when too many details are put in one place, compared to the surroundings, the more details, the more the face looks just artificial (Hackett/Zaeed give me the same feeling). Especially combined with teh new "improved" graphics and shaders, where every face I worked hard on during those years looks like poop. So I hope you won't mind if I blur them a bit if I decide to use them.

Very well done! I was hoping that you would share more stuff you were working on, be cool to see a default femshep more beautiful than the current one lol.

had this for mansheps for a while. All you need to do is snag the def and norm files for various female NPC's and use them. There is also a scar pack here.

AkodoRyu: Yeah, I get that, being overwhelmed by detail, sometimes less is just more. The scarred version was born of an idea for another project, and eventually decided to keep the option open to whomever wished to use the mod. Don't feel obligated to try both, though I appreciate the thought; default femShep is awkward enough without feeling like we have to play her. :)

Selvec_Darkon: That's... actually an interesting idea. I'll have to try it some time. I've seen Toshinho's scar packs too, though the bionic implant-ish scars are the ones I'm really curious to try.

Endgame22: Thanks! I only have two other projects of a similar scale that replace the first and second skins in the custom character creator. The rest are small things I'd made to make character creation bearable for myself: an eyelash fix that tones the original map down from its razor-sharp edge, and two minor eye fixes that change the pupil size on the game's eye textures.

Didn't want to flood the thread with all sorts of unrelated mods, but they're all hosted Bioware's project site and should be accessible through my profile if I'm not wrong. But let me know if you need a link(s), I'll see if I can work it in. :)

nice work. definetly using this on my next playthrough. comes across as a bit more authentic, i dont think soldiers put effort into make up when going into battle. (cant be sure since i'm not military but i dont image they would)

Hard to say, I can kinda see it justified as war paint, or similar, or a rational decision of a career-minded individual, or even just for the heck of it. Plenty of other women (I daresay all of them) in the game have at least some make up slathered on, so I can imagine a femShep in the ME universe doing the same, if only to conform to cultural norms. I'm not sure if anyone talks about make up within the ME universe itself though. The Asari talk about colouring their headtails, but I don't recall anything spoken between human men/women.

As for the amount of effort it takes, who's to say we won't have instant make-up masks, eyeshadow implants that you can set to ooze through your pores at 6am in the morning, or lip pigment injections in the future? Perhaps there really are things too trivial to warrant a codex entry.
