Hello,

My game is failling to start for a few days now, previously I could still launch it from the exe, but now even that doesn't work anymore.
When I try to launch it, a process is created, Origin notes me as being ingame, but nothing happens after that, I can't even kill the said process, it just sits there, preventing me from trying to launch it again or even shutting Windows down, it also crashed the previous version of Origin with it.

I've tried to update Origin (currently : Version 9.0.0.1980 - 180860 ), repairing the game, launching it directly from the exe but that doesn't change anything.

The problem seems to have appeared after "Earth" DLC was installed, though I was able to launch it from the exe after the installation.

I'm on Windows 7 Pro 64bits, my computer in short : AMD Phenom 944BE, nVidia GTX460.

I'm having mostly the same damned issue. I launch it, log in to Origin, it loads from the cloud, but once it gets past the Bioware screen it crashes. I've done all these fixes too. It worked fine two days ago!

Same here, get all the way to the EA logo before the game crashes. Tried, had to have been at least 10 times now with no success. Had this problem yesterday also, while trying to play after a short break from the game (like a week, or two).

So far I can get it to work if I restart my computer and they try playing immediately, but I still have to launch a few times for it to work. Something needs to be fixed, I'm not going to restart my computer every time I want to play this game. Hopefully this is all fixed by the time of my next single player playthrough.

Edit: Game failed to launch several times more, even after a restart. Read the forums, saw this was a widespread problem that could be tied to origin itself. After feeling bad that such a beautiful game is being ruined by origin, something that was forced onto it, I tried to play again. No success, restarted, crashed. Closed origin, ran origin as administrator, worked, tried again to make sure it wasn't a fluke, crashed, tried once again, and it worked again. So, while it may help a few play a few round today, we need a real solution.

Sounds exactly like the problem I had before.  If you have Avast, this should help.
