Whenever I get to Lothering on any character now, one of the first things I do is run over by the windmill to fight the angry peasants. The head honcho peasant says "Maker forgive me, I don't care!" and I become giddy with anticipation. For you see, I am about to make peasant stir-fry... I LOVE this part!

It is probably one of my top 5 moments in DAO.

The only problem is there just aren't enough peasants to kill. I wish there were maybe 4 or 5 waves of a dozen peasants each, with the final wave being their wives and children.
Pros:
  • killing peasants makes me feel tough
  • it's good practice for fighting tougher enemies
  • farmers sound funny when they die
Cons:
  • over too soon
  • not enough peasants
  • the only fight of its kind
So please please PLEASE can the next DLC after Ostagar be a rematch against the Lothering farmers?

I agree. There should also be a Rake Boss Battle that takes all of the armies to help fight. Screw the Arch Demon! Rakes are where it's at!

Haven is cool too, but I honestly feel like I invaded those crazies' home so there's some guilt in killing them.

The Lothering farmers though... they are just nasty. Attacking a poor veteran returning from the war... shameful!

I would have thought that the Battle of Denerim Gate would satisfy your need for helpless enemies to slaughter. Darkspawn grunts die from glares really...

Personally, I would like the final wave to be the old people, hobbling towards you waving their canes, lol. :D

You should play the SouthPark Tower defense game then, you can kill old people, hippies, zombies and Mongrels with pee-soaked snow-balls.... Good times

Well and the Haven folks are actually, you know, kinda bad. The Lothering fools are just helpless and hapless farmers. I don't know when they thought killing me was the best idea, they should have warmed up by whacking those idiot bandits to start with before stepping up to the big leagues.

I always feel kind of bad for Sten at that point.

PC: So, why are you in here?
Sten: I killed some farmers. I have shamed myself. This is my deserved punishment.
PC: Dude, come with me, we'll totally stop the Blight!
Sten: Fighting darkspawn? Well... okay. That sounds more like me.
*Sten is freed*
Sten: I shall follow you, in doing so I shall find my atonement.
*The party takes two steps North and is confronted by a mob of Farmers*
Farmers: Attack!
Sten: ... I am hardly surprised.

Ha! I never even thought of that. I get so excited about slaughtering the peons I don't even deal with Sten until after.

*loads Lothering save*
