Can  anyone give me some pointers on making a good looking Female Elf? I've tried time and time again and am never happy with the end result. I can never seem to get the cheeks and brow right... Any general tips would be appreciated if you have any, thank you. :)

download "pineapple vibrant eye colors", "chargen package" and "CC extra tints and tones". Then use one of the Long-eared presets (I used the last, its quite good) and try around with it. And be patient. Took me like 20 attempts to get mine done.

I think the most common mistake is keeping the chin and jaw width too wide. I usually take the chin width down 2 clicks, and the jaw width down 3. Chin depth down 2 as well. Also, usually the nose is placed a bit too high by default, so bring that down a couple. Bridge depth down, too. The cheeks and brow usually look ok by that point and don't need much tweaking.

Another tip: dont go for too unrealistic things. I´ve tried around with glowing white eyes and pink hair for a while, and while it looked awesome in the chargen, it looked just crappy in the actual game.

Red, long hair is the best.

Definitely recommend downloading the Chargen Package mod if you're on PC, if only to get the elf ears - other mods mentioned are a matter of preference. Completely agree with Tirigon that the last elf preset is really nice to base your PC on. Don't agree with the red hair though :P

Personally, I tend to like a slightly wider jaw and chin. Chin depth is slightly to the left and height to the right (from middle). I lower the eye height a bit and cheek width is a couple of clicks from the far left. Cheekbone width/depth around the middle. Nose height down a click or two. Nose bridge is preference, I think, depends on the nose selected. Mouth I have a little wide with a small overbite.

It does take multiple attempts to get the look you like as the PC can look quite different in game than in the chargen.

edit: paragraph spacing

Red hair is indeed best, but on gals, I like short, tomboy hair best, rather than long hair! Posted Image

Mine took 3 tries to get right, but to be fair, I had aid from feedback for V3 of the build. Posted Image

Female elves look good in mage robes, so I hear.

It may only be on the Nexus; see here. It isn't one of my favourites because many of the elf faces are so odd-looking, and there's only so much the character creation sliders can change from the head morph created in the toolset. Also, any of those heads with "unusual" eyes, you can't really change them back to normal eyes. That said, it does provide the greatest variety in terms of new presets, if you're hesitant about making your own heads in the toolset.

Just make the lips slighter bigger than normal and red, and the eyes a bit too big as well... That will steal the focus and mesmerize the viewer before they notice the faults.

If ya want, ya can do what I did, make a thread with screenshot pics of your elf, & ask for feedback. I made 3 of them & got good assistance with all 3 & now have 3 more finished characters than before that look nice! Posted Image

(My most recent contribution to that aforementioned thread I linked is my most recent finished character i'm now VERY happy with! Posted Image)
