After a long time hating the Slayer, I used him in a game comprised of a Paladin and a Fury (the fourth player was a melee- mad krogan). I found that this class is the ultimate detonator, his Phase disruptor can detonate tech bursts, fire explosions and cryo explosions, whereas biotic slash and charge can detonate your good friend's biotics.

Our Paladin had snap freeze, ED and incinerate allowing me to detonate all of them with Phase Disruptor blasts, this is superior to most elemental explosion detonating abilites as it does a fairly hefty chunk of damage allowing for an easier killing blow needed for the explosion, whereas other abilities that detonate these, to my knowledge are often not damaging enough to deal a killing blow resulting in no elemental explosion.

And Obviously you have your other to abilites to detonate the biotics.

I found that the team worked perfectly and you have to added bonus of having a tank in your team.

Maybe everyone already knows this but I have a strong feeling that people havent tried this class with enough setups to get it working. (Same goes for the Paladin IMO).
