Honestly, 5-6 months for bug fixes is not good performance from a team, regardless of difficulty of certain bugs.

Michael Gamble, you can talk all you want about having 3 patches shipped for ME3, but how many multiplayer bugs were actually fixed since Feburary's beta?
-Reave sound bug (and the fix was to just remove the sound all together which isn't that helpful for the reaver!)
-...?

took me ages to find a non-glitching lobby tonight and when i did got another full extraction - awesome game too, used only 1 rocket/medi-gel, again with my SI. made the 40 minutes of trying to get one worth it. Serious problem with people admitting to be planning to do it even when confronted... Sad.

Yes Mike Gamble Tweeted yesterday that a fix is in the works as we speak.

That's what they've been saying about EVERYTHING for monthes and they haven't fixed one glitch yet.

Actually, we've fixed a lot so far. Three patches full, actually.

About the rocket glitch - we're taking it very seriously. I'll have more for you early next week.

Too bad it's mostly irrelevant stuff and not the game-breaking gltiches that ever get fixed...

They can't fix it. Just give up bioware and tell us the truth about the issue.

Not the BH bug, but the Vanguard bug yes.

What do either of those have to do with the Missile launcher glitch...?

If it's so easy to fix I encourage you to apply to work at BioWare and fix it for all of us.
Oh, you aren't a programmer you say?

Those have been around since day one and havent been fixed. I just beileve that the ML glitch wont have a fix when the next patch rolls around. Also the Black Bug is the worst glitch in me3 you can't even play the game when you have it. Only way to fix it is risk your xbox live profile by doing resantes fix. Bioware never was able to fix it.

People that know nothing about programming should stop hassling BioWare about this. It's their first real multiplayer game, so obviously there are some things they hadn't taken into account upon release, causing some bugs. Some bugs are difficult to fix, so they take time. Get off their back and play the game.... Or play something else for a while, if you're so heartbroken by these bugs. They are doing the best they can.

So you think they have a fix for this in the next patch?

Even when the vanguard bug hasn't been fixed and thats connection based just like the ML.

I'm sorry I quit reading after you claimed it was their first MP game.  Have you not heard about SWTOR or Warhammer?

Do people honestly think that getting a patch out is as simply as BioWare fixing some source code, compiling, and then sending it right out? You have to keep in mind that EA, Sony, and Microsoft are involved as well. BioWare has already explained that any patches are subject to BioWare evaluation and testing, EA evaluation and testing, and Sony/Microsoft evaluation. All entities must approve approve it before it goes live. Anyone who knows anything about software integration, testing, and evaluation knows this can take a very long time. And this is just within a single organization. When you have several different companies involved, it gets that much more complicated.

Yes. You think a game ruining bug like the MG (Since this ruins everyones fun - Vanguard Glitch just killed vanguards, which was only some) that also kills revenue and makes bans happen isn't going to be fixed...
Connection based debugging now involves lag, and you can you imagine having to test through all the different types of lag?
BioWare is a game developing company. Most of hte people that work there like making games. That's why they work there. They want a game that people can say 'Wow thats awesome!' (sans the ending). I doubt they would just shrug off a bug such as that.
>"Well why didn't they fix it in the first place!?"
There will always be bugs and this is just one that proliferated. You cannot make a perfect vehicle. A perfect computer part. You cannot make perfect software. The certifications fees as well as testing make putting out patches fast slow. It's getting long and I'm kind of tired of waiting but so what if it never comes out? You're going to go play another game and forget about ME3. It's going to happen one way or another.

Finding a legit game is not the issue, we all have friends lists for that. The problem is that every player who plays legitimately and spent their time and money on multiplayer is being screwed over and undermined by cheating.

Trouble is I find this attitude to be utter nonsense. I have paid real money on packs, and been here since day one.

But I could not care less about the state of somebody else's manifest. What weapons/characters they do or don't have or indeed how they got them.

It's not real. It's a  game. How am I being screwed? I enjoy playing still don't you? I chose to spend money, I wasn't forced, was you?

It sounds to me like you are sore that you cannot cheat too for fear of being banned, or that someone has a virtual item that you don't, which seems very obsurd to me. I also think that there are far far more people indifferent to this than are bothered by it. BSN is only a small fraction of the player base remember.

My enjoyment of this game is spoilt by only one thing. The vanguard bug, 'cause I like my Kroguard. But I get the glitch 30 to 40% of the time.

I completely hear you. But why did they fix the Missile glitch that (comparatively) fast while the Vanguard glitch still hasn't been fixed?

Because the missile glitch allowed people to farm PSPs without paying Microsoft points (e.g. real money) for it!

The Vanguard glitch is "only" spoiling the fun out of one character class. So who cares? Let's introduce 6 new characters instead including a new glitchable Vanguard. Because on Bronze or Silver the problem hardly ever happens and apparently the developers don't really play any of the higher difficulties...

Yesterday we were playing a fun 4 Kroguard Gold match against Geth first on Hydra then on Tuchanka. We were having a lot of fun smacking the Geth around. Until...
On Hydra one Kroguard glitches out on Wave 7. On Wave 10 he is falling through the map constantly.
On Tuchanka: two Kroguards glitch out on Wave 5 and 9. The one on Wave 9 was falling through the map already on Wave 10. The others' Xbox froze on Wave 11...

Thanks Bioware, for ruining a perfectly fun game and ignoring the problem for 6 months (Demo included) now.

They didn't really fix it, though, so much as find a workaround within the framework of what is possible with the balance changes.

Fixing the vanguard glitch is something that requires patching, with all of the time-consuming in-house and third party verification that entails. And releasing a patch to a console game just to fix a single issue isn't really economically viable in most cases, they have to gather up a certain volume of modifications before it's worth while to go through all the hoops necessary to get a patch released on three different platforms.

I am wondering why with all that testing the ULM glitch only fixed the numbers in the Lobby but not in the game!
Yeah, great Quality Assurance at work. Three layers of approvement and no one noticed until the Gamers really tested out the 1.03 patch.

And what about the new map Rio which seems to create a complete freeze (at least on Xbox and PC) of at least one participant (sometimes even 2 at the same moment) in about every second game? The forum filled with complaints about that map in no time after the Earth DLC was out!
HOW CAN YOU OVERLOOK SUCH A PERSISTENT AND REPRODUCABLE PROBLEM???

If EA, Sony and Microsoft are supposed to be testing the DLC before it get's out, then they do it apparently only on paper but not on the Consoles!

I am a developer myself, so I know that Bugs are unavoidable in a development process.

But not being able to fix something big like the Vanguard glitch in over 6 months or to bring out a completely unplayable map (making the UNKNOWN MAP setting unplayable now for risk of getting Rio) or fixing the ULM glitch only in the Lobby but not in the actual Game  is pathetic, I am sorry.

I was buying several PSPs with Microsoft Points after the release of each of the three DLCs to pay Bioware back for giving us a free DLC. I won't do that anymore until the Vanguard glitch got REALLY fixed for good, no matter how many DLCs they release in the meantime.

Well in the 1.03 patch notes social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/324/index/12276459 they claimed to have the Vanguard problem fixed:

-Fixed an issue so Vanguards who are charging as they die are no longer being routed to the ground

So they had the perfect vehicle (an official patch) to address the issue. Then with all the great QA going on, why is it still happening all over the place making the Vanguard class still unplayable off-host on higher difficulties?

Either they should have admitted, that they are apparently unable to fix the issue for whatever reasons. Or they should have REALLY fixed it.

But releasing it in the patch notes while it is still not fixed gives me a very bad impression about the seriousness and quality of Bioware's QA process.

And apparently they have the resources to nerf the crap out of all the weapons every week and even introduce the option to get stomped now by enemies on Gold and Platinum (before only on silver) without  "all of the time-consuming in-house and third party verification" or any other ado.

Completely different things. Balancing changes are just about altering run-time parameters that are loaded at startup, not making changes to the actual game source.
