My Tremere strategy for boss fights tended to devolve into running around shooting Blood Strike, and using the resulting blood to keep up Blood Heal going.

Is your username from Angel's law firm Wulf, Ram & Hart?

With Blood Shield and some level ups she has gotten a lot more survivable.  Bloodbuff + fire axe works on lower level monsters even with her few points in melee, shotgun takes care of human mooks.

:blink::blink:  Finished the sewers section.  I feel like I need a beer and... maybe another beer.

I told you, those tunnels were a pain the first time around. Not to mention it took forever to finish.

Hah, the sewers are horrible. There are some lengthy combat sections near the end of the game as well that I don't like.

It's worth it though!

It's not just that it's long and arduous, it's so oppressive. And then you get to the Nosferatu caverns and they're actually worse. *shudder*

The Sewers is easily the worst area of the game.

Well, I have to give them credit. At one point my heart was literally pounding, and I was still hearing the creepy music hours later.

In lighter fare, I love that the weapons dealer in Hollywood is in a convenience store and the guy in Chinatown made me ROFL too.

You can leave sewers, there were 2 exits if i remember right so you can leave before helping Nosferatus. You can get some fresh air, fresh blood and replenish your bloodpack inventory.

I can't remember if you have the Odious Chalice by then. But that certainly helps a great deal and gives you a slow but steady supply of blood.

I thought their home had a quirky charm.

I thought it was cool. It was the only Vampire nest in the whole game, and Gary's room had an Adams Faliy charm to it. Not to mention their cozy pool of blood between the apartments. It had a lot more personality than the other kindred's homes.

I couldn't wait to get out of there. I had to go back for Bertram's quest and I was sure someone was going to jump me and not let me leave. But I really wanted that +1 computer...

I did like Mitnick, but prefer to communicate with him by hacked terminals. lol

I think I'm on the last mission now- the Giovanni mansion. Haven't started it yet, no spoilers please. I'm already expecting everyone to throw me under the bus, that seems to be how things work among the Kindred.

Thaumaturgy is finally feeling powerful, and I've been getting all these charms and talismans. I really needed a few of these in the first part of the game. It seems a bit unbalanced, though I also didn't level as wisely as I should have. Noob lessons learned.

I look back over the years and easily count this as one of my top 10 games of all time. Hip, cool, and sporting some of the best voice acting and music you could ask for. Genuinely creepy at times, and funny as well. It's just a hoot to play.

I greatly dislike backtracking. My digital legs are not built for it.

I can't imagine having purchased it during release, though. Every review I've read said it was a huge mess.

Either way, I just look at this game and wonder why no one has picked it up (other than the MMO company, but I'm not a huge fan of MMO's). I think Rockstar (pre-GTA: IV) could've done an outstanding job. The dark humour in Vice City and some parts of San Andreas absolutely fit the series, and Rockstar is known for its awesome voice acting. I wouldn't mind a VtM: B running on a GTA engine.

Did someone say Romero was voiced by the same guy who did Jensen on Deus Ex? It does sound like him, but according to imdb, Romero was voiced by the lead designer Brian Mitsoda. lol

Whoa, really? I know Mitsoda voiced the TV anchor but I thought Jensen's voice actor did Romero....Or that he at least had some role in the game. I must be terribly confused :wizard:

I got my copy shortly after release and the offical 1.2 patch was already out. I made it all the way through the game without running into bugs. I could easily see that it was missing a lot of polish, but this is far from the most broken game I have played and enjoyed.

It's very clear why it hasn't happened. The fans love the game. But in reality, Troika dissolved while the game was being finished and it was actually quite the disaster. With a history like that, I am really not surprised nobody has dared to touch the concept ever since, even though it wasn't really the game's fault. It's a real shame.
