Really? I kept hearing that seduction was a useless skill to invest in... and yet I never had a problem at the cemetary. I just had my Malk bang the Ghoul and it was the easiest 2 experience ever. That and all the free blood I can flirt with. *nods*naughty99 wrote...

Ok, I got the Tremere going, and I think I'm gonna keep her. Great dialogue. Combat is very wonky. At least she's got high stealth, I think I'm gonna rely on that mostly.
I'll be honest- there were times I just turned on God mode to get by certain sections and certain boss fights.
After failing the cemetery invasion level 20 or 30 times, I had to turn off clipping and give myself unlimited ammo in order get past it. That section was insanely hard to beat.

There is another way to solve this quest easily if you're not good at shooting and your seduction isn't high enough / you're playing a male char.
Refuse to guard the cementary and you will get "Pimping for Romero" quest instead. Now go back to town, find a prostitute, pay her and tell her to go to cementary. Quest finished

Where do you get blood packs? I'm now totally out.

And Tremere blood magic wont work on some creatures and have a lesser effecy on some bosses. For such bosses get a "sharp" melee weapon, use blood buff and try to block/avoid their attacks. Shotgun to face works good enough too.

It's a completely new game in itself using the engine, you'll get to play as Sabbat and independent clans who serve the Camarilla.
It's the closes thing we have to a sequel(the MMO doesn't count, I have my doubts about it)

I'm getting pwned by the Blood Guardian- any tips? I think I didn't bring enough blood packs.
Ha- I think that is the exact boss that I started using God mode on. Just got frustrated with it.

Anyway, onward. The spouse pointed out that the lead writer on this game is doing an indie zombie game called Dead State. Wish I had known sooner to get in on the Kickstarter for it.
I finished that Asylum sisters quest last night- fantastic writing. Never saw that coming.

There are no two quests that feel similar in this game. It's filled to the brim with excellent writing.
You need to take a look at Dead State the writer of Bloodlines is on that project.

Is that game even Alpha yet? I know I'll grab it once it hits STEAM, but we're a long way off from that.
No idea frankly I stopped following it long ago.

Yeah, the whole Therese/Jeanette thing is fun, especially when you know its coming and look for it on subsequent playthroughs.
I'm looking forward to Dead State too. Backed it on Kickstarter and I'm hoping it turns out pretty good.

Even more fun when you play a malk (flirting with Jeanette is hilarious as malk). I can't play as other clans anymore, the malkavian insight is just too much fun- calling the sisters 'daughters of janus', knowing VVs real name, various plot points before seeing them and small things like Skelters name (he gets a bit freaked out heh) and Imalias computers password- the game is just filled with small things like that + I can't live without obfuscate. Oh, for those that are interested- Camarilla Edition 1.6 just came out:)

It's my favorite class. It always seemed tlike the most "vampire" of all the clans. I'm Cammy scum through and through. Don't care if the Brujas hate me. I will have to try their class eventually.
The only bad thing about this game is there's no physical customization for your character.
Speaking of which, does anyone know of any good weapons and clothes/armor mods?

I've heard good things about 'Arsenal mod' ( www.moddb.com/mods/lenusk/ ), haven't tried it myself though (just using the unofficial patch+ CE 1.6 combo). Btw. although most Anarchs in VTM:B are Brujah, the main clan is still in Camarilla (the only clan from VTM:B that isn't in Camarilla anymore is Gangrel, although I'm not sure if Gangrel is still affiliated with Camarilla during the game).
You can find more mods at:
www.moddb.com/games/vampire-the-masquerade-bloodlines/addons
www.vampire-network.net/modules.php (plenty of skins too, the site is in french but easy enough to navigate)
www.patches-scrolls.de/vampire_bloodlines.php (unofficial patches, camarilla edition, final nights etc)
www.strategyinformer.com/pc/mods/vampirethemasqueradebloodlines/mod.html
PS. most mods aren't compatible with eachother (weapon mods, reskins and so on should work ok, but big ones like CE, FN, Clan Quest etc will probably mess up your game if they're combined:crying:)

If you go melee, pick up ranks in dodge and possibly wits to boost defense. Autoblocking from high defense negates all damage. Holding down tab makes your character actively block, which drastically raises their chance to defend as well. If you go firearms, just hang in there until you can buy or find better guns. Guns become so OP later on they trivialize every combat in the last third of the game.

What I do like about the game is that apart from these moments, most quests and encounters feel like you have multiple approaches to solving them. I love that kind of player freedom, where I don't feel like I have to mind read the exact steps the developers want me to run through. Also I like not having quest markers. Going back to Skyrim it just irritates me when I see a white arrow over someone's head.

For serious. XD Killing him is a pain. What I usually do is lure him to a corner. Once I bowl him over with a point blank shotgun blast, I pull out my axe, blood buff, and beat the snot out of him in seconds. You can't let that muffin recover or he warps away.
I'm still counting on the bug that he clips into a wall or something else.
Ootherwise he will start teleporting again and is handling his pump action shotgun like an auto assault shotgun with infinite bullets
