However, if you're Malkavian, Heather gets a touch of your madness as well.

Yea I saw that one, it was definetly a good effort. I just wish that it hadn't been cancelled so early. I really want a good Vtm tv series or at least some movies on it.HoonDing wrote...
Anyone seen that 1996 TV series Kindred: the Embraced? It perused the WoD setting. I actually bought Bloodlines (and Redemption before that) because I had fond memories of that series.

Alright, I replayed Traffik and this time had no problem with the vents, got my stealth bonus and Larry's discount.... aaaah. Also had fun stealthing up on those bimbo gangbangers on the way out for bullets and a blood top-off.
Well it all goes according to plan it feels sweet, doesn't it?

ROFL... that's hilarious.android654 wrote...
Just give in. You're a Vampire, sentiment is for kine. Kindred run the world behind the scenes. I'm doing a new run, and Heather locked a guy in the bathroom for me to kill once I got back home. She's a good familiar.
Well, I guess when you accept Pisha's quest there is no more pretense of morality anyway.

That depends on how you choose to complete it, surely?

Beefed up? You're talking about my character? lolHoonDing wrote...
Pisha is far too weak in the game for what she's supposed to be. Nagaraja Elder vampire should one shot even your ridiculously beefed up character.
@ Uncanny: I dunno, I haven't found the guy yet, but in just taking it you agree to send him down to her.

Ah, but you don't have to actually do so!
Having said that, I think you would need access to Dominate, Dementation or to have a halfway decent Intimidation stat to gain a different outcome.

Just like any roleplay, there's different ways to approach it. I rarely play paladins but never play evil for the lulz characters either. Mostly chaotics who value freedom above all, that's why it's a bummer to take someone's freedom away and see them reduced to groveling.android654 wrote...
The only way to really have fun with this game is to roleplay the hell pout of this game. Kill a bum for the fun of it. Or follow that douchey guy from Asylum or the girl in the sl*tty goth dress when they walk down the alley. Because hey, you're a vampire and low on blood. Going to help a dying person? Make 'em pay up. And ****** off the blonde midget with the Napoleon complex just for the fun of it.

Still, I don't drain them dry. Always nice to have a drink that refills itself, right?

I'm always feel so conflicted regarding Heather. Even if you're nice to her you can see her free will draining away before your eyes. But if you tell her to go she's so hurt and rejected I worry about what she'll do.
I just keep thinking about Mercurio. That guy has been a ghoul for... how long? And he seems okay.

Also, gameplay-wise she is a somewhat vital part, because as far as I know, only through her you can get the body armour, which is the best armour in the game(again afaik^^).

Yeah it's definetly an issue, on one hand she dies if you don't make her into a ghoul- but develops a blood bond if you do (whitewolf.wikia.com/wiki/Blood_bond_%28VTM%29), which can be pretty nasty if you decide to let her go (take the ghoul you meet at Confession for example). Mercurio does seem fine for now, but if his blood supply would stop he'd be screwed: "Ghouls are subject to horrible side effects when the supply dries up.
Without vitae, a ghoul will rapidly age physically to his actual
chronological age, and ghouls over a century will crumble to dust
quickly.
" (whitewolf.wikia.com/wiki/Ghoul_%28VTM%29)

It's not evil for the fun of it. kine are beneath Kindred. Heather's lucky to serve me. hell, I could kill her at any moment, just like all the other humans in California. But she chose to offer herself up as my familiar and has proven herself to be worthy... for the moment.
She's not grovelling, and as an Anarch, I wouldn't force her to do anything. However, she willingly sought you out, and the relationship is symbiotic, not parasitic. She keeps you safe during the day, brings you food, runs errands, and gives you gifts. In return she's allowed the privelege to have your blood and serve the most upcoming Vampire in the whole city.
It's kind of impossible to roleplay a purely good hearted kindred in this game. You can't survive on rats alone, and you'll eventually have to kill kine and kindred alike. Just think of her like a nerdy girl with a crush, and you're taking a bit of pity on her.

Not to mention, he's well taken care of. He's got the swankiest place in the city, and is practically the top guy, underneath the Tourette. There's also Knox, who loves every moment of it, and the guy at the blood bank. They all seem ok, but Patty was obviously an obnoxious person from the beginning. That's why her master ditched her.

I usually don't play evil characters, but I never felt bad about keeping Heather as a ghoul. You know, you have to be a little "racist" if you're a vampire or you don't get the real experience. As pointed out above, they are not your equals so it's nowhere near as bad as messing with kindred.
Still, I don't drain them dry. Always nice to have a drink that refills itself, right?
It's not so much about being racist. Kine are like animals to Kindred. The humans are cattle, and ghouls are pets. I love my pets, and would never abuse or eat them. Just like with a dog or a kitten, they're given a place in the home, and my care and attention in return for loyalty and protection. Cattle on the other hand are food. That's what they're there for. If I'm not draining someone, it's going to waste. I do stick to gangbangers for the most part. They seem to drain a little slower than the normal human.

I still think there's no sense in draining non-combatants dry, cattle or not.
