Has anybody got an idea what causes this..
I've got an area that uses the illefarn tiles and any hostile NPC that enters one tile goes black as if they're stealthy and you can't hit them. They cannot be hit by spells either but lure them onto another tile and you can hit them again. They also seem to jump around quite a lot too !
It's all baked the walkmesh looks fine and there's no problem strolling around on it either it's just the "hostiles" that go mad.
I checked in the tile properties and the only thing I can change apart from the colour is whether it scrolls or not. I didn't know such a thing existed but if you want a disco dungeon that's definitely the place to head for. I've even swapped the tiles and rebaked but it still does the same thing it's really strange.
Weird Bug !

That is bizarre. I would remove the tile, rebake, and then readd the tile.

kamal.. Really bizarre I've been messing about with it for ages but I think it's the tile itself ( the illefarn corner with a door in each wall). I searched the area for a similar tile found one and filled it with hostiles then stuck the start location in the tile next door and beamed in a PC andnone of them attacked me and all were black I just strolled past and couldn't even tempt them to fight me with fireballs !
So it's time to knock down some walls and slide placeables, where are the dwarves ?

I just confirmed it can anyone see if this happens to them ? This is what I did..
Made a square area ( 4 tiles ) with the illefarn tile set, making sure one tile was the two door corner put some baddies on that tile and on the others, baked the area then put the start location in a normal corner, fired up the game and could run around and round turning baddies black as they entered the tile with 2 doors in !

I've run into this problem as well. I didn't figure it out at the time, but it was with the same illefarn tile. When you check the walkmesh, everything looks fine. But in-game, all the baddies go wonky.

It could be a geometry issue of the two doors. Are there any other tiles with two adjacent doors? And does reorienting the tile's direction do anything?

bealzebub.. You're right about the walkmesh it looked spot on and was the first thing I checked. I even copied the area and deleted all the placeables and it still happened, then moved it right out of the way by extending the area's boundaries in case it was something under the tile too. Anyway it's nice to know it's not just me/my computer.
I_Raps.. There was another tile with adjacent doors and the same thing happened and that was facing the opposite way and it made no difference. I don't know if it happens to the one with a post in the middle I haven't tested it but the two offending ones in my area have been scrapped now and the baddies are back being bad and seem much happier ( or should I say fiercer ) with the new layout.

Sounds like bad collision data blocking the Line of Sight from one tile to the next. Like that interior recessed tile, it might be that the tile doesn't rotate properly and even baking won't fix things.

Selecting tiles, clicking the offending article and pressing delete, then banging a hole through another wall does though !
Whatever the cause it's caused me a lot of hassle but I'll know next time to avoid it like the plague.
