Well, I guess that depends on what your headcanon is. According to game canon, not gross. Unless you're referring to something else... PM me if you are, I'm curious (but don't want to spoil it for others).

On the potentially gross side of things, I've heard about enough interest in the Lola/Raul pairing to warrant the creation of a poll asking whether a mature one-shot is desired by readers. I leave this kind of thing out of the narrative unless it moves the plot forward, but it's implied and I know what happened in each case.

This particular scene would happen after the first scene in chapter 7 (da & ffn). There's enough plotty stuff in it for an actual story arc, which I summarized in the following scene rather than writing it out. If I get 20 votes for it, I'll publish it.

I finally got around to posting the story on Archive of Our Own. The reading interface is very clean and it has a great download feature for multiple formats. Read it on AO3.

What does everyone think now that we've caught up to Mass Effect 2? The last chapter ended on a bit of a downer, but as we all know, it isn't the end...

I know, I'm a day late posting... but this one was really hard to write. And I had the flu. And other excuses. But it's a good one, I promise. Worth the wait.

Shepard gets a second chance at life. James and his squad fight off the Collectors on Fehl.

Now that the Fehl chapters are finished, I've decided to take a short break (two weeks) to recharge my creative batteries. I will still be writing, though.

During this break I'll write a new, original short story and will publish it on Kindle. This is an experiment to see what it's like publishing fiction independently and to see what interest there really is in my writing. It will be available for free for a few days with the KDP select program; I'm not fishing for your money here.

Not only did I totally plot out the new story, which is awesome, I also started Chapter 22 in an unexpected rush of inspiration. This break was exactly what I needed!

I'm not sure but I might post Chapter 22 as usual next weekend. If I don't need as long a break as I planned, I won't take it. Thanks to everyone for sticking in there with me!
