EA Forums thread: http://forum.ea.com/...2.page#24185033

So I have posted this before, demonstrating the fantastic support I received from EA's live chat.

And I am posting this again, because it has been a couple of months since then and although 2 - 3 patches were released the problem is still there.

I got disconnected 3 times today; twice in wave 10 and once during extraction all in Gold. I also got disconnected the day before that and the day before that and so on.

The most astonishing thing is that I am being punished by not receiving any points / credits at all, and on top of that I lost all non-permanent equipment.

So what, if I paid for that equipment, how exactly is EA compensating and what is Bioware's position on having 2 - 3 patches done and still have this issue persisting?

-

Another friend also suffers from the same issue, we both have different connections, computers and routers. Actually he has a 250 Euro worth of router.

We both have firewalls and anti-virus programs disabled, we both have tried UPNP Off / On / Auto-Configured, DMZ, port forwarding / opening and a number of network card & OS tweaks.

Still nothing. I get a "Communicating" from Mass Effect 3, and I see both players and NPCs freezing, or sliding without any reaction, and then I get the: "Your connection to the game has been lost".

Is anybody from the forum or someone from Bioware willing to help me with this?

Thanks in advance.

i played a gold match, got disconnected on wave 2 yet again, tried a second time finally managed to not get disconnected, its about time this was fixed, seriously i dont find losing equipment due to losing connection to ea servers amusing, so til its fixed i wont be using any equipment, if it doesnt get sorted then i guess i wont be playing mp for much longer, this has gone on long enough with no fix to a very wide spread problem, not just me having this issue :(

their servers and software don't always provide a stable connection because they haven't figured it out or just don't give a crap.

Here is what I do that gets me results most of the time. Shut down ME3 all the way and make sure EACoreServer service is shut down in your task manager as well as I believe that service gets corrupted once you "lose connection". Open the game back up and go into multiplayer. attempt to buy a recruit pack. If it is like my problem with their crap, it will "lose connection" before it gives you the pack and kick you back to the main menu. Don't shut the game down this time but connect back to MP. You should get your pack now and you should be able to play a full match. I never use my consumables until I can play a full match. I just use the permanent equipment.

Bioware ****ing sucks at this point. How the **** does this company continue to get by on their own ineptness?

There is a thread describing exactly what you are going through that was started 2 months ago. Not a single response from anyone from Bioware.

@ shedevil3001

I agree.

@ XTR3M3

True; I find this solution handy in order to resolve issues like if I am stuck on searching for games or if I cannot even connect to EA's servers. However, it did not help me with the disconnects.

@ adrenaline1983

Most certainly true.

@ behrendt666

If EA's support or someone from Bioware does not provide a response, I will proceed with legal measures when I have some free time in my hands. Their product is obligated to do what it says it is supposed to do; and some time ago I was assured that the incoming patches will fix these issues.

And the fact they are selectively replying to threads is something I do not appreciate as a customer nor it makes them look good; I am uncertain whether this is arrogance, indifference or something PR suggested.

@ JeffZero

Yeah, we are all here, but some of us are not here because we like it to stay around or because we have nothing better to do.

If the game was working fine and had what was advertised to have as a product, I would not even own a forum account here.

@ Zerolos

Not really what I am experiencing, but fun to hear regardless.

@ NacViper

Yes, I did.

Hello?

I would like to play please?

Seriously, how about some help?! What is so ****ing hard about coming on and giving everyone an idea of what they are doing wrong or how they can best mitigate the disconnect issues, Bioware?!

EA handles the servers, origin etc.. BioWare handles the functionality/programming, While the programming of the game may work in perfect senerios on a closed network issues do present themselves on the www. Like most developers instead of doing a bunch of "Hotfix" for a bunch of individual problems they would rather release a "Patch" which is a package deal to fix many small issues at once. DLC's should not normally be confused as a fix as far as i am aware there has been one patch included in a DLC thus far but i can not confirm or deny that fixes have or have not been in other DLC content.
You are frustrated i can understand that but as consumers its part of being a gamer to post our issues whether or not we get a response directly from BioWare or not i can assure you they watch these forums pretty astutely.

@Fabulist961
A lot of what i said above was toward you as well. Being mindful that issues will get resolved at some point and you will have a big smile on your face when the small issues do get resolved. Until then keep in mind BioWare is a very fan driven company they are not ignoring anyone they are just focused on what matters most..actually getting things fixed. They do have a presence in these forums and answer questions. but in all honesty i would rather them focus on correcting things that are posted than to spend 1/2 their day chatting to every single post made.

Not a single match was finished by me since I departed on vacation. The connection seems quite good,but...after 2-3 waves I get disconnected. At first I have no lags at all and then suddenly "Your connection is broken." As I see,not a single move was made by Bioware because I have a couple of people back here at Bioware Russian Community and they have the same problem.

@ Onishiro

Really?

Problem is, when I paid, the money left instantly, they did not wait until they patch it or until I was able to use the product.

And mind this; they are obligated to make it working since it states it will do so, if it does not it is illegal to sell it, you are obligated to return any customer's money and it is illegal to delay or not provide support at all.

And no, I have seen their changelogs and patch efficiency, they are not effective at all on any 'patching' matter, if you have that illusion, you should check out other companies and understand what "Customer Care" and "Support" really means. There are still "non-game-breaking issues" (as they call  them) in ME1, ME2, DAO and DA2.

And I cannot hear this: "their games are too big". If they cannot handle it they should provide less quantity and more quality.

In addition, I do not care whether they are busy or have many fans around busting their days, I paid and I demand a straight answer since they are obligated to give me one; and they are obligated to provide an answer as much as EA is although they are EA's division according to US, EU and Canadian law.

To conclude, I lack your level of belief in a company that false advertised so hard on this product, that in a different situation in another industry would get the whole division dissolved. And no, disconnects are a priority, the only matter that could have more priority would be to be unable to launch the game or play at all.

I do not want some developer to come and talk to me, they should have hired moderators with tech support skills for the game, or have their unique support team, which conveniently I am unable to find if there is one but EA's.

@ Lkv999

Yes, I noticed many other people have such issues too, it is pathetic that it has been around for so long, I am having absolutely no problems with other games, including Origin games, and I have worked my ass off trying to figure out what the hell is wrong without any success.

Me and my friend bought this game to play together, and all I get for responses is "We are escalating your issue", which is obviously doing nothing.

@ LaidGenie

I think someone already posted this, but thanks nonetheless. I have tried almost every suggestion available in the forums and a billion more on my own along with a professional expert on networks. Still nothing.

@Fabulist961 I have tried several of the methods many people here on the forums have suggested as well, and unfortunately I still have problems. I really appreciate how so many people on here are willing to try to work and figure out a way to help out fellow gamers. Wish I could say the same about Bioware.

I have attempted to play 5 games so far today, 3 times i got disconnected in either wave 2 or 3, 1 there were no emines visable to me (interesting to watch a Krogun kill something i couldn't see) and 1 where i actually played all the way to extraction.

I too have tried a couple of the fixes that people have posted on the forums but nothing has worked for me, i would like to thank the people on here for trying hard to help others solve this issue.

Problem being EA's fault seems logical; it certainly would explain some of the problems I've had. My disconnect issues seem to run in bursts, yet oddly enough, my laptop (runs on the same network) never loses connection. This tells me that the issue is on the end of the wire far from my computer.

QFT
Why should we have to become level 3 techs just to play a game we had to pay for?....along with idiotic suggestions like running with our firewall or security disabled. If the problem was on our end, it would be recreateable and predictible.

Nobody can be helped, it's the nature of their software:
http://social.biowar...666123#12681969

They use UDP, which is purposely dropped without notice on every single device along the internet that gets a filled buffer for just one millisecond. UDP is not saved after drop, it simply goes away. BW did not deal with the reliability layer on top of it correctly. So...unless you have a connection guaranteed to never hit peak all the way from you to the host, you will have issues.

@ XTR3M3

It is an attempt to waste less amount of time in comparison to waiting for their incredibly slow support to assist us.

@ .458

I do not know whether you are right or wrong; they are obligated to either fix it or refund me if that is the case since I was not warned about such a thing when I bought it.

And beyond everything I am entitled to receive a response.
